Well-known voice actress Machiko Soga, who played the role of Q-Taro in the popular animated film, "Obake-no Q-Taro" ("Ghost Q-Taro") in the 1960s and 1970s, has died at her home in western Tokyo, police said. She was 68.
Police received an emergency call from an employee of an antique shop which Soga operates, in Kunitachi, western Tokyo, on Sunday reporting that she had failed to come to work.
Officers visited her home in Kunitachi to find Soga dead. Police officers who examined her body have concluded that she died of an illness. She lived alone at her home. (Mainichi)
Those of us in the Western world may know her better as Queen Bandora in Kyoryuu Sentai ZyuRanger, or rather, Rita Repulsa from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
