Dave Scherer reports that Jim Cornette has agreed to terms with TNA Wrestling and is set to become the new "authority figure".

Cornette has always been able to cut great promos and can sell storylines. This is a great asset to TNA.

Cornette was last seen writing OVW TV but was released after a student from OVW claimed Cornette verbally and physically abused him.

Wow this can turn out great for them, Cornette has some of the best promos and interviews in wrestling history.

This was a great signing for TNA because he can help the young guys wi6th promos. I just hope he realxes and all. Those allegations last year sunk him at OVW.

I loved the Midnight Express when I was a kid. I don't see how TNA picking up Cornette can anything but awesome, especially when you consider that he'll probably start booking the shows at some point. That's when I'm going to really get excited.

What promos ? They don't have time for promos , not for a 1 hour show.

You can see some great Cornette promos as ROH commision on www.rohvideos.com

He's about 1 billion times better than Zybysko for that role.

Well, if he's actually the one behind Midnight Express Tag-Team moves like the "FLAPJACK" and "BENJO-MATIC", then he'd be a plus to TNA and I could look past that horrific fashion style of his (if he in fact still totes it). I like his mic skills and commentary, too...

TNA really does need more than a measley hour AND it's gotten boring in the last month... hope things get better and fast.

Btw, that capitalizing "DEAL or NO DEAL" catchphrase fr. Sting is possibly the WORST thing to hit TNA since skimping on truly entertaining X-Division matches.

Cornette is a good addition. He will be able to bring a little more fun into the NWA and will be a good mentor for all the young talent they have the potential for developing...

But we will have to wait & see...
