I just saw True Romance on tv today, thats the one with Cristian Slater and Patricia Arquette, and I noticed at the beginning credits it listed Val Kilmer. During the movie I didnt see him once. At the end credits it lists him as "Mentor." I cannot for the life of me remember a chracter named "mentor". So my question is, who was this guy? Where did he show up? What scene was it in? This may seem trivial, but it will bug me all day if i dont know.

Val was Elvis, aka the Mentor

OOOOOOHHHHHHHH! That makes sense, i guess. I still feel a little ripped off that he wasnt actually in the movie, just his hands, but it definately answers the question, thanks.

You sort of see Val, distorted in the mirror of the hotel bathroom when Christian takes a pee, when he talks to him. You see the gold lame flashing a bit.

I liked the movie I guess, watching those people act was a lot of fun. Cristian Slater plays F-ed in the head really good. But I have to admit, it all seemed a bit pointless to me. It was like Quinten Tarentino just wrote the script off the top of his head. The story took a back seat to the quirks of the characters, and really never seemed to develop into anything substantial. It was fun to watch, though, but I dont care to see it again soon.

Also, Walken and Hopper's scene is awesome. I loved watching those two go at it.

Not sure if it's still the case, but I read in an interview a few years ago where Pitt said that Floyd is his favorite character that he's ever played.

I believe he was in the house when Kilmer's wife was killed...
Maybe this (http://saltonseamovie.warnerbros.com/cmp/cast.html) will help.
