It was originally Oracle and Power Girl, but after a mission went disastrously wrong Pee Gee left and Oracle contacted Black Canary.

(Blue Beetle did help out at times near the end of Dixon's run.)

Is BoP still a Batbook?

I dunno... I don't think so... the Batsymbol is off the cover and has been a while... but I think it's in the Bat-book section in Previews.

... So maybe!

... Or maybe not!

The symbol has been gone for the last two issues. However that could be due to the OYL stamp located on it. As far as I know Huntress and Canary still live in Gotham.

Nope, it's been in DC Universe ever since the end of the Gang War. Which is why I post the shipping info on the DCU board.

Aren't they operating out of Metropolis ever since Batman and Oracle had their falling out?

Which editors are controlling BoP? Is it still coming out of the Bat Office?

You're right, Metropolis, at least that's the last I heard. Don't know what editor is doing BOP, but I'm pretty sure it's not the bat-office.

Power Girl was never seen as a member (even though continuity wise she and Oracle did team up first) until much later in the series. It was originally (comic wise) Black Canary and Oracle first.

The reason I've been told that BoP is not a 'Bat book' is that it's not under the editorial control of the Bat office. Oracle lives is stationed in Metropolis. But Huntress and Canary (last time I read) are still based in Gotham.

That would explain their primary attention going to Arkham during the Villains United Special...

I hope you don't mind me leaving the BoP threads here when they get started here, because there really still is a lot of related stuff.

DC can "say" Oracle and Huntress are not Bat related, but they have been for a while, so a little discussion on the Batman board shouldn't harm anyone.

Since OYL, the Bat symbol has been gone from all Batman spinoffs- Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman as well, not just Birds of Prey.

Nightwing and Robin have also been used. BoP crossed over with the Nightwing title for a few issues during the "Hunt for Oracle" storyline.
