In Kingdom Come Bruce says "Two Face and Bane destroyed the manor when they found out my secret identity". Didn't Bane know his identity anyway?

It's an Elseworlds. Maybe Bane was unaware in this reality.

Interesting. I always thought that Kingdom Come was supposed to be the DC future given where the characters were at the point that it was written. So like Bruce's back was broken during that period and so it was just assumed that it would still be broken in the future.

maybe the way the time works, twoface found out only a little while after bane came and blew everything up, and tried to finish the job somewhere between DC then and DC kingdom come, and bruce didn't feel like recounting the whole story so he lumped the two events together.
either way, millar probably just picked two random villians, thought i think twoface finding out who bruce wayne is would have a different effect from him blowing up his house.:)

There is definitely more to the story. Maybe Bruce meant one of his other identities like Matches Malone. That could be plausible. Bane knew that Bruce was Batman but neither of them knows that he is also Matches Malone. Matches could have been part of some deal that involved Bane and Two-Face, they discover that Matches is also Bruce Wayne AND Batman, and decide to retaliate. Makes sense to me. I've been reading comics so long that I could probably come up with a reason for anything that seems off.

I think the most likely solution is that Mark Waid cocked it up

Most of the Kingdom Come story was conceptualised by Alex Ross. He had been writing that story since he was a kid. The book really was Ross' magnum opus.
Kingdom Come is not canon. It is an elseworlds.
In that reality, it would seem Bane and Two-Face found out Bruce is Batman. It would seem Bruces identity being known is just a part of that timeline. In DKSA Bruce is publicly known to be Batman. I figure it's knda the same.
I wouldn't look to deep into it. Probably nothing there.
Kingdom Come is full of plenty of ohter things to check out, like all the stuff Alex snuck in art wise. Like the space ship form the ELO/Boston (which on is it?) album cover, outside the Green Lanters Base.

No you all have it wrong. Bruce says "after my identity got out Bane and Twoface..."
That just means that somehow Bruce Waynes identity as Batman got exposed, TwoFace found out and teamed up with Bane probably to kill Batman, and the house and cave got destroyed in the process.

Bruce, "Bane and two face happened to it. after my identity came known. Doesn't matter really i have every thing I need down here!"
As for the exoskelton, that was needed becasue of all the abuse he put himself thru for all those years. Very logical if you ask me.
Wonder woman, "What was the last thing you did care about?"
Superman, "LOIS"
