Peter should currently be in his mid to late 20s.

According to Bendis (on his board), Peter is either 27 or 28.
This was as of House of M, which is still about a month or so ago in Marvel continuity. (It's only been 3 months since The New Avengers formed as of Civil War #1.)

He was 15-16.
I think he's 28. He just had a Class reunion so that should be 10 years after highschool.

Since Joe wants the 9 year old new reader to relate to Spider-man there is a good chance by the time he's done fixing Spider-man Peter might be back in Grade school.

Any Marvel ages that don't make sense, or characters that revert back a few years or have their history changed...well, it can all be blamed on those blasted Cosmic Cubes. Yup, you heard it here. Cosmic Cubes...

True. Look at Young Avengers. If Hulkling is a product of the Kree/Skrull War, that means it's been 15 years or so since Avengers #97, which was published in 1972.
In the Spider-Man comics in 1972, Peter was going through his six-arm phase, and the Death of Gwen Stacey was about a (comic book) year away.
I don't know how old he was exactly, but let's say he was 18 during the Kree/Skrull War. That would make him about 33 (which I don't think anyone considers him).
So put on some Fixodent and hold on to your toupees, Spider-fans! The next Spider-Man event will involve Peter's struggle to collect social security!

Daym, I think he should be a little older then that. I mean I know that comic continuity is different to real time cos they can only work so fast but does that mean when I die, Ultimate Peter Parker will have his 21st birthday or something?:( (I'm 17 now btw)

Well he turns 16 around ish 100 so in Uspidey he'll be 21 in 500 more issues. That's what 250 months?

Where I come from we have a different name for Cosmic Cubes. We just call them Joe Quesada.
