I am definitely going to my LCS during lunch this week:

ARCHAIA STUDIOS PRESS
Robotika #3, $3.95
Thinking that I may wait until this mini is finished to read the remaining 2 issues.

DABEL BROTHERS PRODUCTIONS LLC
Marshal #1 (Of 4), $2.95
This gets the flip test. The online previews were nice.

DC COMICS
Infinite Crisis #7 (Of 7), $3.99
Perez cover for me and I am so looking forward to the ending!
Outsiders #36, $2.99
Supergirl #6, $2.99
Who is the creative team for this issue? Hope its a good one.
Teen Titans #35, $2.50
Damn you Geoff Johns! I was all ready to drop this book.

IMAGE COMICS
Season Of The Witch #4 (Of 4), $3.50
Looking forward to seeing how this ends.

MARVEL COMICS
Civil War #1 (Of 7), $3.99
Civil War Turner Variant #1 (Of 7), $3.99
Is the Turner variant going to be jacked up in price by local retailers or is it a 50:50 type of quantity? I'm leaning towards the McNiven wraparound covers.
Exiles #80, $2.99
Marvel Team-Up #20, $2.99
Andy Kuhn art!
Ultimate Spider-Man #94, $2.99
Deadpool Part 4.

Wait for Trade
BPRD Universal Machine - either I'll wait for the trade or pick the individual issues off of eBay at a later date.
Y The Last Man - still waiting for the next trade to be released.

Rucka and Churchill on Supergirl #6. I think there is a 1:10 churchill cover. I am not sure if the other cover is a Michael Turner cover or not.

The Turner Civil War cover is a 1:25 so be prepared to pay at least $25 for it. There is also a 1:75 Turner sketch cover for Civil War #1.

I don't mind the variant covers but I would much rather have them at cover price.

I think I'll wait till next week to pick up the books, but here's my shopping list for this week's releases:

*ARCHAIA STUDIOS PRESS
* Mouse Guard #2, $3.50

Now I just need to read #1.

*DC COMICS
* Gotham Central Vol 3 Unresolved Targets TPB, $14.99
* Y The Last Man #45, $2.99

I can't believe I'm still getting Y. I haven't read it in forever, and those issues are just piling up. But I just KNOW I'll like it when I read it, so why don't I? ::sigh::

And a GOTHAM CENTRAL trade is a no-brainer.

*MARVEL COMICS
* Annihilation Silver Surfer #2 (Of 4), $2.99

Wasn't so sure about this one, but I did buy the first issue, so I might as well stick with it.

* Civil War #1 (Of 7), $3.99

See this week's column.

* Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #8, $2.99

Probably not, tho it looks like PAD and Wieringo are together for this issue.

* Hulk Visionaries Peter David Vol 3 TPB, $19.99

Joe Fixit!!!

* Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #15, $2.99

I hope it's more Patrick Scherberger action here.

* Marvel Romance Redux I Should Have Been A Blonde, $2.99

Always good for a chuckle or three.

* Marvel Team-Up #20, $2.99

Ditto. ;-)

* Ultimate Spider-Man #94, $2.99

Great book, always.

* Uncanny X-Men Omnibus Vol 1 HC, $99.99

I wish. Buy it on Amazon, though, for more than 1/3 off the cover price.

I wish the "BOLD" and "ITALICS" button on this web page were working. I'd format this all up properly. I'm not going to type all those commands in manually, though. Sorry.

The guy at my LCS said that they had already sold out of the 3 x 1:25 covers (normal Turner one) and the 1 x 1:75 cover (sketch variant) by the time that I got to my store at 11:30AM. Prices were set at $25 and $75 - still way, way, way to much for my wallet to handle.

Actually, at those prices, I'm not sure any living artist today could get me to spend that type of money on a comic book.

May 3, 2006:
Annihilation: Silver Surfer # 2 (of 4)
Civil War # 1 (of 7)
JSA # 85
Mouse Guard # 2 (of 6)
Supergirl # 6
Teen Titans # 35

I'm trying some DC titles this week.

You've admitted elsewhere that the lettering is holding you back. It is worth getting over that to read it. My issue with this series is the format. This will be fine as a book if collected, but odd shaped single issues are awkward to handle and store. I'm putting them in a spare magazine bag for now.

Haven't received mine yet, but here's what I'm getting. Looks like mostly stuff I really like. :)

Archenemies #2
Sadly, #1 didn't really work for me. I already ordered #2, so I'll read it and maybe change my mind.

Action Comics #838
I tried to organize my recent stacks and misplaced the last two issues to this arc!!!
Detective Comics #819
See above comment. Grrr...
Gotham Central vol. 3: Unresolved Targets TP
Instead of being excited, this actually makes me sad. *sigh*
Infinite Crisis #7
I have no idea why. I haven't read #5 or 6, and I know where they are.
Sandman Mystery Theatre vol. 4: The Scorpion TP
Cool! The desperate hope that one day they will collect the whole series burns just a tad brighter in my heart.
Team Zero #6
Great great great war series! Could really do with a few more like this.

Sam & Twitch: Brian Bendis Collection TP
I really liked the Udaku trade when I read four(?) years ago, so I'm very eager to start this one.

Annihilation: Silver Surfer #2
IMO, this "event" is off to a good start.
Civil War #1
I am oddly excited about this. Me. The guy who groans and gripes about crossover/event/stunt books. The Millar element is taking some of the wind out of my sails, but I have to admit that the hype is catchingme for the first time in years.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #8
This is it. Last issue for me. My excitement over the idea of PAD on Spidey isn't carrying into the reading experience. I'm loving X-Factor and Fallen Angel, but may have to cut this one loose. :(
Hulk Visionaries: Peter David vol. 3 TP
Again, instead of being happy to see a favorite in trade, I find myself cynically wondering how far Marvel will go before quitting.
Ultimate Spdier-Man #94
Woot! Favorite read!
Uncanny X-Men Omnibus vol. 1 HC
Omnibuses rule!

Mouse Guard #2
Absolutely LOVED #1. I'm already hoping that it gets collected in trade just so I can buy it for the library.

Noble Boy one shot
Scott Morse!

Wait for Trade
--------------
BPRD: Universal Machine
A big "Maybe". The first two forays into BPRD minis left me very disappointed, but I'm thinking of giving the recent stuff a second chance.
Exterminators
Had no interest in this whatsoever, but I'm seeing too many positive reviews to completely ignore it now.
Sentinel Squad ONE
Like the idea, but enough to have bought the monthlies.
