Ahoy,
Was reading a thread on another board about Doom Vs. Magneto, who would win, yadda yadda yadda, but it got me thinking....
What are some of the greatest Villain battles you remember that actually took place?
Did Doom and Magneto ever go toe to toe? Or Spiderman Villains? Share your thoughts!

In Super-Villain Team-Up #14, Magneto showed up in Latveria to propose an alliance with Dr. Doom. To his surprise, Doom informed him that he had already conquered the planet, and proceeded to prove it by commanding Magneto to kneel before him. Against his will, Magneto obeyed, because Doom had already flooded the atmosphere with a gas that forced everybody to obey Doom. Then Doom made Magneto take an antidote, because ruling the world was boring, and he wanted a challenge.
Magento tried to recruit the X-Men and the Avengers to help, but was only able to free the Beast from Doom's control. They went to recruit the Champions, but they fought him without needing orders from Doom. Magneto and the Beast fled to battle Doom on the White House lawn, and the Champions pursued them. During the final battle, Ghost Rider (who wasn't breathing air anymore in his demonic form) blasted Doom in the face with hellfire. Doom pulled off his now magically-burning mask, breathed in his own gas, and abruptly lost control of everybody else. I consider that more of a case of defeating himself than actually losing to Magneto.
My favorite villain fight might have been when Dr. Doom and Kang went up against Magus (villain) and Adam Warlock (hero) in Infinity War. It was a very unexpected fight, even though Starlin played fair and set up the encounter in advance.
Another great villain fight was when evil masterminds Mandarin and Yellow Claw fought it out during the Super-Villain Contest, way back in Iron Man #70. And another great villain fight also happened in Iron Man #220, when Spymaster fought the Ghost.

I loved it when Mephisto pulled a double cross in Infinity Gauntlet and attacked Thanos while the Titan was battling the other great cosmic beings (Living Tribunal, Master Order & Lord Chaos, Mistress Love and Master Hate, The Celestials, Stranger, and Epoch) I was expecting mephisto to pull a fast one but what really surpised me was when Death herself attacked Thanos. It may not have done any physical damage but Thanos was still hurting.

When the Sinister Syndicate first appeared in ASM there was a cool fight between Hydroman and the then redeemed Sandman.
And in the Inferno crossover Hobgoblin II and Green Goblin II had an awesome fight.

Magneto punked out Red Skull in beautiful fashion in Captain America #367. After hearing Skull's views on serving Hitler, he eventully captures the madman and lets him stay in a bunker miles, with no escape, underground by himself with a few gallons of water and breathable air for the time being. Just what I always figured Magnus would do if he caught up with the piece of trash.

Yeah, that was great. And he kept that Nazi sumbitch in a cellar for days, and starved his ass. You reap what you sew...

I think the two-part Thanos Quest, where Thanos sets about taking all the Infinity Gems away from their villainous holders, was pretty cool.
Galactus vs. The Sphinx back in FF 212 was pretty cool, if memory serves.
Elektra was kind of a villain back when she and Bullseye fought in Daredevil 181. That was a great fight.
