I love Mark Millar's Marvel work. Now that his Superman Adventures run has been traded, is it worth a read? Are they good stories? Are they like his more contemporary work? Thanks in advance.

I think they're amongst Millar's best work and some of the better Superman stories of the past twenty years.

How does the writing/dialogue hold up? Is it very Silver Age-ish? I ask because I want to know if I should buy these for myself or buy them for a younger relative and simply read them before I give them as a gift. :)

In alot of ways, Superman Adventures is an "Ultimate" version of the Superman Mythos. The stories are good, but not very complex (this really were for kids). They follow the continuity of the Superman:TAS, which was a mix of Silver and Modern age elements.
If you like the cartoons Superman:TAS; JL; and JLU, or All Star Superman I would suggest picking them up. You can always gift them later if you don't like them.

I love it. Some of the best Superman stories came out during that time period. Devin Grayson wrote a good one-off that featured Clark Kent as journalist, which was memorable too. A lot of great stories from the series, in a time when the triangle stories of teh regular universe were absolutely NOT doing it for me.

Yup Millar's Superman stories are great. Kid friendly without being crap for adults - there's a rare feat.
