Exactly what the title says, after you finish up on Exiles and the Uncanny dialogue, what are you doing next?

This question can be trickier than it sounds, because you never want to announce something before your publisher has a chance to.
That said, I'm doing a couple of issues of something for DC right now that happens to be one of my all-time favorite DC properties. I'm also doing a Batman tale for an upcoming Batman-related series. I'm starting work on another animated feature film (my first one is in production right now). I'm doing an X-Men painted special. And I'm continuing with creator-owned stuff like RETRO ROCKET and a couple of other projects that are in the worls and will see the light of day if I ever catch up on my deadlines!
How's that?!

When they don't reveal covers like that, normally they contain spoilers. ;)

Or maybe the cover to EX85 hasn't been drawn yet. Hmm...
But EX84 is one fun issue, bub!

I'm just worried that since you're squeezing a Wolverine story in there before you depart, that when CC comes on... people will complain if he kicks off with what he has planned, the 'Dark Wolverine' story. Sounds a bit too similar, if you ask me. Were you aware he had plans to do that when you decided to do a Wolverine issue?

I don't know Chris's exact plans. I just trust my editor to keep such things from happening. Since no alarm went up, I'm satisfied that my wolvie story and Chris's are sufficiently different.

Cool, good to hear. Can't wait for to read it. Always like seeing AU Wolverine's, since the writer can mess them up as much as they want, without hurting the sacred cash cow. :D

Hi Tony. I was chatting with several fellow Legion of Super-heroes fans. Those who know your body of work were pleasantly surprised to see you as a writer on several upcoming issues.
Are you scripting Mark's plot or something else? How did this collaboration come about? I know that you and Mark Waid were both at CrossGen. Any teases for what you're planning, the covers had us excited.

Mark's got a very full plate these days, especially with 52, so I was asked to help keep LEGION on schedule by co-writing a few issues. Mark and I have worked like that before and it's a good fit, so this has been a real treat for me. We co-plot the issues in conference calls, then I write up a full script based on those. LEGION's always been one of my favorite DC properties, so I'm giddy at this opportunity.
And it's always a pleasure working with Mark. He's been my patron saint in this business, pulling me out of editorial to get me the writing gig at CrossGen. I'd take a bullet for that guy!

That's great to hear, Tony! I remember posting not too long ago that if I could have you on any series, I'd choose Legion, so I'm glad to see you'll be working with Mark on this. You proved on the first few Negation issues that you two are a good team.

I too must say I have really enjoyed your work on Exiles. At first I was hesistant about a new writer to a book I have enjoyed since issue one, but your New Universe tour won me over.(Ah Nostalgia) When are you going to let somebody lock you down for a year or two on a book again? You know something like you have to sign your name in blood for at least a two years or so. :p
I mean DC is a great move currently, while at Marvel you have already created a good niche for yourself. I cant blame you at looking at or for other properties outside that realm too. Enjoyed your Exiles work immensely. Where do you see the title going after you depart?

I don't know all of Chris's plans for EXILES after I'm gone, but what I do know sounds very cool -- and not what you'd expect, either.
As for me getting "locked down", I'd actually welcome an exclusive commitment because I could concentrate more on the work and less on lining up new work. But that's really up to publishers to offer, not for me to demand. So we'll see if anyone wants me that bad.
