I've been waiting for this book for almost half a year, ever since the announcement of the teaming of Disney with Slave Labor Graphics. There's only been a small bit of information trickling out so far, but that has changed as of just recently. There's a big write-up of it over on Comicon.Com's The Pulse and a 6-Page Preview up on Slave Labor Graphic's website. Not entirely sold on the art, but it's not too bad. I can't wait! :)

Where in the Gargoyles timeline does this fall in? And if it's the end of the toon, why're they still bunking with Xanatos?

Oh, and I'm not too keen on the art either, but I'll pick it up anyway.

It picks up at the end of the second season. The creator Greg Weisman, had almost no input on Season 3, also known as the Goliath Chronicles, other than the first episode. So this comic series picks up from the end of Season 2, and is what he would have done had he remained working on the series.

Someone want to recap me on the end of season two?

The Goliath Chronicles....those were the stories of Goliath and Elisa on that boat just drifting around, right?

64. Hunter's Moon, Part Two

Goliath swears revenge against to Hunters for what they did to Angela, and flies out to take the battle to them.

65. Hunter's Moon, Part Three

I'm very excited about this book. I loved the Gargoyles cartoon as a kid. Especially how well written it is. In fact, I cite that show as one of the things that got me interested in writing.

So, I've also been waiting for this book to come out. I made sure to order a couple copies in last month's Previews to make sure my LCS will get some.

I am too excited for words about this. I've been waiting for years while Greg tried to find another format... then waiting for months after the deal was announced... and now.. oh my Lord this will be worth the wait.

Xanatos may be one of the coolest villains/heroes ever. He has a castle. Flown in from Scotland. On the New York's tallest skyscraper. Now THAT'S style.

I am so stoked. This was such a great show, and recently, I've fallen back in love with it. Xanatos was probably one of the most compelx and intresting antagonists ever. And Owen too, in his subtle way...

The stories were just plain well-written, and it's great that we get to see the rest.

*sigh* if only the same had happened for Firefly.

Didn't know about this, used to drag myself up before dawn to watch it (yes, networks can be cruel). Definitely picking this up.

Eliza (Salli Richardson) and Angela (Brigitte Bako) had knockout voices...!

Thanks for the linkage. I must have missed that interview back in March. Good stuff. :)
