Yay!
But it still kind of sucks.
Booo!
But I get to work at home 2 days a week.
Yay!!!
But the job itself is morally questionable at times.
Boo!!
But I just interviewed for two other jobs in the last two days.
Yay!!!
But I haven't gotten them yet.
Boo!!
But I might.
Yay?
Yay! Job! Excellent! Wish I could find a new job. Last week, I got turned down for 3 different jobs I applied for...

Man-whore?
Close to it. Let's just say it's a writing job that involves far more copying and pasting than I would like, with an employer who is bigger on coming up with ideas than figuring out how they might actually be usable in a real-life situation. But fuck it, it's a buck until I can find something better.

How's the money?
Not very good. But better than the other crappy job I was working to stave off the wolves, which was so low paying it wasn't even worth mentioning.

"It pays my way but it corrodes my soul"
vs.
"As God is my witness, I shall never go hungry again".
So it goes.
Hopefully, it pays shrink benefits!

It's less that, more it pays no benefits, so I'm not being well compensated for selling my soul.

What is SEO writing? (google search indicates searching engine writing).
For us techno-ignorant . . . what is that?
And congratulations (I think . . . maybe . . . )

Writing gibberish that is ostensibly about a subject, but more just making sure that key words appear a certain percentage so search engines list them higher.

Working at home is definitely a plus too. How long does it take you to complete your task on those days?

They pay people to do that? I always thought it was just something the webmaster tossed in after programming the site...
Wait... And they pay people to do that even though Google doesn't work that way?

So, you're basically doing the exact opposite of your last job.

Congrats on getting some money, Stonegold. I hate my job, but at least they pay me.

Frequency of appearance isn't factored into the relevancy rankings anymore?

As far as I understand it, most search engines don't take things out of relevancy rankings too often, they just change the importance of it.
Maybe before such a thing as SEO it was worth 20% of the ranking score and now it's worth 2%
(Numbers made up for example)

Why, mind numbing is it?
No, more because the work is less than ethical, and my boss only barely knows what he is doing, and when I ask a question, can only come back with "what do you want me to tell you?"
That, and because someone else quit, suddenly I'm doing their job as well. Ye gods, please let one of these other interviews pan out.
