He's fun and funny. Plus, he used to pop up every once in awhile and those were some of my favorite comics.
Have every appearance except the Damage Control one.
He's kind of a "what getting a super suit would REALLY be like" kind of character.

Bah, don't listen to Dark Soul #7. "Frogman is useless but my Avatar is a picture of the 'Marvel Zombie' storyline." What was that about people in glass houses? :D
Anyway, Frogman is a god. He needs to return in some shape or form and team up with Grizzly, Gibbin, and Razorback to take on the Legion of Losers, joined by White Rabbit and Walrus. Spidey could appear as the bombastic Bagman. That would be the awesomest story ever written to date!!!

He's mentioned in Daredevil, DOn't know the issue number but it was before the "outing". It was a four part story that should have been told in one (thinking it was Bendis)
It didn't even have daredevil in it, but dealt with Ben Urich and LeapFrogs kid.
I think they implied that LF was killed. Don't really remember, and I refuse to reread it :)

A few things of note...
1) Frog-Man gets a multi-page entry in the latest ALL-NEW OFFICIAL HANDBOOK OF THE MARVEL UNIVERSE A-Z (with lots of info about his dad Leap-Frog, too).
2) The handbook profile does its best to reconcile the TANGLED WEB story with the rest of Frog-Man continuity to some extent.
3) The dead Leap-Frog from DAREDVIL gets a nod, too.

What does it say about the Tangled Web storyline? And what does it say about Vinnie Patilio (Froggy's dad). (I'd wait and read myself, but my comic shop hasn't even gotten my issue 3 of OHOTMU yet. :()
And which issues of Daredevil are these? I heard there was a new Leap-Frog that dies in some DD issues, but that he had absolutely nothing to do with Frog-Man (except for possibly stealing one of the frog-suits).

What does it say about the Tangled Web storyline? And what does it say about Vinnie Patilio (Froggy's dad).
Basically it tries to reconcile the TANGLED WEB story with established continuity as much as possible. As for what the profile says about Vinnie, it's basically a double profile, with full bio/history/power into on both father and son.
And which issues of Daredevil are these? I heard there was a new Leap-Frog that dies in some DD issues, but that he had absolutely nothing to do with Frog-Man (except for possibly stealing one of the frog-suits).
That other Frog-Man turned up in Daredevil #19, 2001. And yeah, apart from ripping off one of the frog suits, he didn't really have anything to do with the other frog-folk.

J.M. Demattis (sp?) wrote an great story about Peter going to Frogman's home for dinner.
It was the first time I had ever heard of the character...and I loved him (and his dad)
Years later, at a friend's cottage I came across another, much older comic (Marvel Team up maybe?) that had spidey and Frogman together (and if I recall tham correctly, Demattis wrote that one too) Awesome stuff. Just a joy to read.
Its characters like him that I love.
One day, (after every major hero has his blockbuster studio film made), IU am going to convince marvel to let me make a movie about Frogman....or Slapstick (remember him?)

I read the profile in MUH and really didn't see any mention of the TANGLED WEB storyline.
And yeah, I remember Slapstick. I've started numerous threads about getting him, Frog-Man, Steel Spider and a few other "loser" characters on the same team, basically reforming the Misfits (originally Frog-Man Steel Spider, then known as Spider-Kid, and the Toad).

I'm trying to decide if slapstick would make a decent movie, or a TV series. If it was a movie, it would be endlessly compared to the MASK (not always a bad thing), A Cartoon would "fit" it more, but you could get lost in the Tex Avery/Looney toons comparisons.....

A lot of Spider-Man joke characters haven't been used in years. I respect that you want your favourite character to come back just like any dedicated fan would, but Marvel just don't have any plans for him at the moment so Frog-Man's stuck in the world of comic book limbo for now.

Hey hey, wait a minute. Spot (when he appeared for the first time), was kick-ass villain. He was supposed to be very smart (a scientist, after all), have the most original teleportation power of all spaceshifters, he's only problem was lack of strength. He totally make Spider-man wonder "HOW will I beat him". When he finally did, Spot vanished for a long while. He vanished from comics with POTENTIAL! A thing, that veeery small count of characters have now days. Potential of really good return. Then a few years later he appeared (somewhere along years 96-97) with the Legion of loosers. Then I was like: "WHAT? How can marvel do this to such cool character! Really!" They totally blew him off. They've taken his intelligence, he's dumb as a log. He has not learned how to better control his powers, nothing.
My only hope, that Bendis and Bagley do something cool out of him. (And not in the ringer kind of way:))

I recall really liking his first appearance...though I'm going to have to go back and reread it cause I barely remember it now.
He could have been one of those villians that was pretty cool if he had just been left alone and used from time to time (he was never going to be an arch-nemesis).

Well, and that's where you are wrong. Because, you see, it's not his costume. His entire body, after the experiment on Cloack (as in Cloack and Dagger), is covered with actual black holes from Cloacks .. cloack. That's what makes him so cool and at the same time so underused.

The Spot has been killed a couple more times before that (heck, his last appearance before that story had Tombstone snapping his neck) but he always comes back with zero explaination. Thanks to Marvel's lack of continuity under Joe Q, I don't think someone like the Spot CAN be killed for good because "dead means dead" means zip when the editors can't be bothered to remember he was killed in the first place. Come to think of it, I think Axel was the editor the last two times they killed the Spot so that makes the inconsistancy even worse.

Eh, I seriously doubt Ollie coming back in Thunderbolts is going to be a good thing. He’ll probably end up as canon-fodder just like every other minor character to show up in a book by Ellis, Millar, or Bendis.

Nope. It's like a family oriented Ultimate Spiderman. They rewrite Spiderman's stories.
For example, in Marvel Tales, the suit is test lab leech creature, Eddie Brock is burglar and not a reporter, the Hobgoblin comes when the Green Goblin is still around(and GG promptly beats him down), and other things.
Lol i really doubt we will see him anytime soon sorry dude, spider-man has had ALOT of bad issues and characters in his career over the years (hypno-hustler to give you just 1 example) so im hoping frogmans gonna stay out of the MU unless he appears in powerpack..

I think Razorback had some kind of electrical discharge thing that came from his back, but I could be WAAAY off.
But I agree with FrogMan, we need the Fabulous Frog-Man back in action. I say he should join the Great Lakes Avengers and they should finally get their own series.
Frog-Man reminds me of heroic version of X the Eliminator. Maybe he should get his own series on Adult Swim. With all the stoner garbage they've been showing lately, it would be a major improvement (but then again, throwing rocks at puppies would be an improvement).
Squirrel Girl should die though. I hope they fired whoever wrote that "squirrel girl beat thanos" story.

You're partially right.
Razorback possesses the mutant ability to drive any kind of vehicle even with a limited degree of knowledge as to how the vehicle operates. He is also an excellent hand to hand combatant and he can electrify the mane on his hood, shocking those who attack it.

See art work of Frog-Man's new look here:

Don't know how I feel about the new costume, but I'll wait until I see the finished colored version before I pass judgement on it.
See, bitching loud and lots to anyone who will listen does work. First Steel Spider, now Frog-Man. I must have asked Dan Slott a couple of dozen times to have Frog-Man appear in one of his books (just as recently as the A:TI #6 thread over on the Avengers boards), and it finally paid off.

Of course there's room for joke characters. Not everybody can be an A-list and somebody has to be at the bottom of the barrel. Some characters you just need to look at and go, "that's pathetic," there are certyain types of stories you can tell with those types that you can't tell with "legitimate" characters and a vastly different feel.
As for fodder, only a hack would bring back minor characters just for the sake of killing them off.
Otherwise whats the point of killing off characters in the first place.

disappointed, really. but that's because i was very interested to learn about the Action Pack (after seeing the sketchs). i don't even know what Prima Donna or Vox's powers are. Eugene didn't do anything he couldn't have minus a costume. otherwise, it was fun to see new characters. maybe they'll have more to do in later issues. i wonder if Eugene likes Kentucky. he's pretty far away from his family. i guess he and Squirrel Girl won't be hooking up any time soon.
