Why? Is this a retcon punch deal because the brutal nature of his death at the hands of Bane whil Bats listened in on the whole thing was a very cool moment in Knightfall. One of the few times the editors ever let Batman look scared. Bummer.

I figured as much. Unless Film Freak was channeling Freddy/Jason/Micheal Myers/any other 80s horror movie slasher, I doubt he could have survived being beaten to death by Bane.

I thought this was an 'ok' issue. I am still not 100% on board with Selina's OYL placement yet, it's just not grabbing me like before. I am certainly not giving up yet, I just hope things pick up a bit.

i'm not following Catwoman at the moment, but i'm pretty happy to hear that Holly is the new Catwoman (as most people guessed with the blonde hair in an earlier cover). I hope she survives in one piece!

Eh. Mixed feelings. There's a good push to create some villains here. I'm psyched about the possibility of a bad guy that thinks he's Thomas Alva Edison. That's an interesting new nutcase right there.The new Film Freak is a nice touch too. Angleman is, well, Angleman. A little cool, a little pathetic, and everyone knows it (Even him).

Selina as a mom isn't clicking for me. Sorry, Selina Kyle = Catwoman. DC's a great company for passing on the torch, but this one seriously isn't gelling for me. At least partly because, after years of fuss and retcons, we've once again got a Catwoman who started out as a prostitute. Sigh. Thanks Frank.

But while I fundamentally disagree on who should be in the costume, it's well written enough.

Well, I just go by the Catwoman Year One annual. Selina only posed as a hooker to hide from the cops and rob from johns. There was never any sex involved.

Actually according to her Year One a large part of her "repeat business" was from her being a Dominatrix - teasing and beating dirty secrets out of folks (that she used for criminal purposes) but no sex.

It was weird, but just about the only way to make her a non-prostitute withou contradicting Frank's stuff. Again, thanks Frank. No issues with women there.
