Who thinks Rachel and Kurt would make a cute couple? Ever since there kiss in Uncanny X-men 450, I can't stop thinking about how they would be together.

I do but most people will probably be creeped out by the fact that he used to be a bit of a father figure to her.
Also, call me a sicko but I think a Wolvie/Rachel relationship would be awesome.
Why? Just the thought of Cyclops' reaction would make it worth it.
Or Jubes/ Wolverine... I've always been a supporter of that one.
...
What does that say about me, doctor?

Actually Logan/Rachel creeps me out more than Kurt/Rachel which I think would be cute (if a little odd.)

I actually think Rachel and Kurt would be a really good idea. After so many years working together in Excalibur, and now in Uncanny I think it would be a nice idea.
Rachel really needs some kind of love interest, doesn't she? It's been so long since she finally shook her Franklin hangup.
I think Kurt and her have plenty common ground. And at least they're going to be in the same title again, after Brubaker takes over.

Hell, I'd like to see any hint of romance in the X-Books outside of Astonishing.
Used to be, all of the X-Men were hooked up with one another or a supporting character (Opal, Trish, etc). As it is, they've just been wandering from fight to fight for years now. Barely any of them seem to have lives outside of costume anymore.

I'm getting a bit against making anymore X-couples. We have Havok/Polaris, Scott/Emma, Rogue/Gambit, Colossus/Shadowcat, I think that's enough for noow. It would become to soapy with more couples.

Well, after what Apocalypse did to Gambit, we don't know where there relationship is headed. And as for Scott and Emma, I wish they would end that.

We haven't seen very much interaction between Kurt and Betsy, have we? Not back in the 80's, or since her return. I'd be interested in seeing something develop between them. Maybe we'll get a return of Kurt as a ladies' man.

Funny you mention the lack of interaction.
That's always been one of the topics I tend to think about most when I'm in a "comic book state of mind". How do teammates that we don't normally really see interact much "on panel" get along behind the scenes?
And for the record, I'd never thought of it before, but Kurt and Betsy probably would be an awesome couple.

I think it might be creepy on Kurt's part if he could remember being a father figure to her but he cant so i can udnerstand him being attracted to her.
And lots of women are attracted to older male figures in their life.
However despite the fact i wouldnt find their relationship wrong i dont think its necessarily the right way to go. Some relationships id like to see?
Nigthcrawler- Polaris (they really bonded after Havok died and i think he could bring her back around)
Rachel- a normal stoner human guy (id like to see Rachel slum it a little)

retconned...he was beign mind controlled...which is a shame caus ei thought it added a really interestign dynamic to his character.

I'm thinking, (and hoping) that Rachel and Warpath are gonna hook up when Brubaker takes over. Also, a little off topic, but I think James should take up the Thunderbird name again. God I hate Neal.

Thanks, guys. I wondered if anyone else would see the potential there. They're pretty new to working together, but with enough history as "satellite" teammates and the bonds of friends-in-common to create some curiosity between them.
I think Kurt and Betsy both are people with a need to remake themselves--not necessarily out of self-loathing, but more out of a need to be more than what they are perceived to be. Plus, of course, they both enjoy swordplay and classic notions of high adventure.
Aside from similarities, though, I think they would balance each other well, too. Betsy has become the perfect warrior she always wanted to be, but I think she has lost touch with her roots and her emotions. Kurt never seems to lose that side of himself and has a talent for keeping other people grounded.
Kurt, on the other hand, pushes himself toward specific lifestyles (priesthood, swashbuckling ladies' man, team leader) but can't seem to commit to one. True, these are just different aspects of his personality, but look at how he periodically tries so hard to define himself by committing to each individual path exclusively, at the expense of losing the other sides of himself. To me, it seems he can't find a single path that offers enough balance to satisfy him. I think that the happiest we've seen him is when he's had a woman at his side, someone who could share his joys. In Betsy, I think he'd find someone who could match his love of high adventure and need to strive for excellence in everything he does, while providing enough substance to make it more than just simple thrillseeking. I also think they'd understand (and even be attracted to) each other's darker sides without getting lost in them.
Does that make sense, or am I alone here?

When Rachel was growing up in the future, she thought of Kurt as a favorite uncle. He was big part of her childhood.

Ok, I thought so. So it would only be "weird" for Rachel, seeing as that was a future Kurt. Anyways, I still would like to see them as a couple.

Probably unlikely though as it seems every British marvel character is from London...*sigh*...look at a map it wouldnt take that long.

Rachel and Warpath would be hot, that's for sure. I think we can all enjoy the images conjured up by that pairing. :evilsmile
But I don't feel that Jimmy is as developed or accepted as he should be before he's set up as Rachel's love interest. Anyone who has really followed X-history knows that she is set up as a major character in Marvel lore--the next true it-girl. So her love interest has to be someone equally pivotal in Marvel canon. Nowadays, I can't think of anyone who worked better than Franklin.

Sunspot has been so scewed up lately... Hellfire Club, X-Corp... manipulated by Bogan. And then with Sage, leading the Hellfire Club. Then Sage's in London with Excalibur. And there's a 'shadow' Hellfire Club. Marvel should try to clean this up a bit. Whedon's book doesn't get stuck on continuinity, but I do hope that the 'new' Hellfire Club at least references the other Club led by Roberto.

Not that I support this, but I read somewhere a while back, after Rachel manipulated her DNA to look like a Dino shortly after Betsy's resurection, that Rachel should turn herself to a guy, and then hook up with Kitty. It was quite wierd.

I would love to see a relationship between Cannoball and Psylocke. I saw a few panels with them in Uncanny and it seemed like they were kind of flirty with each other.
I always liked the idea of Warpath with Syren. And Rachel just doesn't seem like there is any X-Men for her and I don't see her going for a civillian or anything like that just for the simple fact of what happened to her family, not wanting to endanger anybody else.
