It's still up in the air if my husband and I will be able to make it.
As of right now, we're probably going to come to Dallas instead. It all depends on what flights are available for us to jump-seat on.

It looks like if we are able to make it to Dallas, we'll be spending the night on Saturday.

My husband thinks I'm a little nuts because I'd rather go to Dallas than the larger convention in Toronto. I told him it's an honor to be asked if I was going so all of us can hang out. :)

By the way, my house is just behind those trees. And the outhouse is to the right of the picture. That's the way we live up here in Canada. Hewers of wood and dawers of water. I walk bear foot to work everyday and to pick up my comics.

Last year (the first year) it was a very informal gathering. It made it a lot more intimate a setting to meet everyone.

Robert Kirkman signed tons of books, but that didn't stop him from getting up walking around, chatting with old and new fans.

Cons are money making events. CAPE has no admission, no speed pass, no $5 progam and most of the guests don't charge for anything. Plus there's free comics from FCBD!

See..i have this silly quirk,i do not enjoy visiting foreign countries that i do not speak the language,and i just do not speak Canadian. No matter how many times i listen to Bob and Doug McKenzie,i JUST CAN NOT get the language down.

You don't have to convince me-I'm dying to go! I'd much rather go to something smaller and less formal any day :)
