Inspired by the "retcon punch it!" (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=118940) thread on the DC forums, I thought it would be interesting if we put our own hero's controversial new abilities to good use.

So here's what: Identify which aspect of the Spideyverse needs to be stopped in its tracks (involuntarily, of course), and preface each aspect with a Spidey Stinger SHAKT!

For example...


SHAKT! Spidey's ridiculous-looking new stingers.
SHAKT! The use of Norman Osborn.

[Violently Apathetic]

SHAKT! Flash forgetting years worth of interaction and friendship with Peter.
SHAKT! Sins Past, and anything that came from it. Sure, that was likely covered in Crash Man's 'Use of Norman Osborn', but its something that needs reiterating.
SHAKT!: Carnage/Venom's lame death/s.
SHAKT! A couple of Hobgoblins, a Jack O' Lantern or two and possibly a Green Goblin.

SHIZ-NAKKT! The Other.

Multi-issue crossover where Spider-Man dies? EW!

Seriously, I'm all for the epic, serious Spider-tale, but the whole Other fiasco turned me off ALL the Spider-books.


Jenkins and Ramos need to take over Sensational Spider-Man...I loved that team.

SHAKT! x10 Refer to my "Ten Changes to Spider-Man" thread. (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=112856&highlight=stillanerd) which includes:
1. Sins Past NEVER happened.
2. Spider-Man never develops organic web-shooters.
3. The spider-totem plotline lasts for only a year (if brought up at all).
4. The Clone Saga lasts only a year, and Peter is NEVER a clone.
5. Mary Jane doesn’t become a successful supermodel.
6. Venom has a different origin and doesn’t become a lethal protector.
7. Roderick Kingsley is the real Hobgoblin from the start
8. Felicia Hardy isn't the Black Cat, or never appears and is replaced with Silver Sable.
9. Peter Parker never became a ladies man.
10. Gwen Stacy follows in her father’s footsteps before her death. (although the last three I can understand would be way too controversal.)

SHAKT!Captain Power. Heck, an extra SNAKT! for Electro's "updated" blue and white costume, and another SNAKT! for Chapter One in genreal.

And finally, a double SNAKT! for Kevin Smith killing off Mysterio and the whole sorry mess that was "The Evil That Men Do."
