Obviously a project that maybe just started with Dead Girl has turned into an X-Statix mini that is just as fun as the original series. Peter Milligan knows what he's doing when they are his characters or he's allowed his own takes on characters (such as Dr. Strange). Oddly, this book has got me thinking about Dr. Strange's love life more than maybe I should. How is it a nice, attractive doctor is not married already? Mystical protector of the realm or not, he needs a domestic life besides Wong.

Strange *is* married already. It seems he isn't in this mini, but in the Dr. Strange series, Stephen and Clea exchanged rings and vows quite some time ago.

Yeah, but where's Clea? Perhaps they're seperated? ;)

Typical doctor, married to his work to the exclusion of his wife.

sometimes Clea was drawn hot, other times she was drawn old & tubby...may be she was more of the latter & the seperated

Yeah, he abandoned her in the Faltine Dimension, where she was waging a civil war against Dormammu and Umar.

For real. It's been a couple of years since I read the storyline, but if I remember correctly, he left the dimension knowing that if he left, the instability the magicks being thrown around by the civil war (it was either that, or he surrendered a portion of his magicks to Clea, I can't remember which), he was highly likely to not be able to return. To my knowledge, he has not even attempted to return. However, in the recent Defenders mini, there wasn't a mention on how the war came out, but obviously Dormammu and Umar are still in power, so that doesn't bode well for Clea.

The Defenders mini was a lot of fun, but it did leave more questions. But remember, continuity is not important.

It was a decision made by both: due to the War of the Seven Spheres travel between dimensions was difficult. Strange had his duties to protect Earth, Clea to protect the Dark Dimension. Strange later created a creature, Paradox, and sent it to Clea to assist in her war against Dormammu. Clea and Strange met again in the Order series though and they can communicate.

Thanks, I hadn't picked up the Order series yet. It was a time when I was unemployed.
