I still haven't read ONE thing of hers since her awsome "You'll All Be Sorry" column. I plan to read some of her books soon. I REALLY wanna try The Atom. I want to follow good writers instead of titles, so if her comics are as good as YABS, I may just go on a strict diet of Gail Simone, Dan Slott, and Robert Kirkman books. I like my books fun and full of heart.

And I might focus on Ultimate Marvel and Squadron Supreme as well. It gives me a comic book world with continuity, without having to buy 20 books a month.

I love her because of her YABS column, and her success story is inspirational.

The reason why I respect Gail Simone so much...because she is such a positive, upbeat person. I think that is why good things happen to her, like her getting comic book assignments. Yeah, she has talent and works hard but I know a lot of people who have talent and work hard and never makes it as far as she does. I really think it is her positive attitude. And whenever I am in a bad mood, reading a few goofy Gail posts cheer me up.

Do you know why I love her so much? Here's a totally untrue testimonial...

I used to be addicted to crack cocaine. Also I would fart a lot. A lot I tell you. I was high all the time and people would avoid me. I don't know why. Maybe they were plotting against me.

But then I discovered Birds of Prey. Now I collect comics and masturbate. A lot. I no longer get high. I don't have enough money to buy crack. Or pay bills. People still avoid me though. But for completely different reasons. And for that I am eternally grateful.

Thanks to Gail and Birds of Prey I have a new purpose in life. One day I hope to be able to write like Gail and help others kick the crack habit and fart less.

I dig Gail because these days, there are just too many creeps getting ahead over the good guys.

Gail's someone who proves that you can have a heart, be a decent person, a loving spouse, have some laughs, and do good work.

She shows that you can get ahead in life without having to step on anyone, put anyone else down to raise yourself up, or be a dick to strangers.

Not that long ago I had a turning point in my life where I could have gone into several creative fields: more movie special effects, toy design, game art, or comics. I give the credit to Gail Simone, Howard Porter and Mike Grell for making me feel so welcome and encouraging me to give a try at coming back into the comics field after so long away.

If the bastards get you down, it's someone like Gail who lifts you up.
