I have been reading comics for the past few years and I noticed Magneto has been portrayed all over the map.

There is William Wallace Magneto who is fighting simply to make sure his people are safe and secure.

There is Arafat Magneto a man who uses both war and peace when it appears best to achieve his goal of a state for his people.

There is also Osama Magneto who is cold and calculating and wants to enslave or eliminate the human race.

And, there is Zarqawi Magneto who basically is a drug addicted psychopathic mass murder.

Which one is supposed to be the real Magneto?

Mags when written properly is just a very layered and complicated character. The only portrayals of him that I've disliked were the ones that had him coming of one dimensional raving Hitler wannabe. There are enough Saturday morning villians populating the MU without trying to turn a complex character into a cracker box foil.

That doesn't explain why the Captain America and the Avengers were more then happy to give Wanda to Magneto after she tore up the place in Avengers 503. They wouldn't have known about the Xorn twin or whatever it was.

Basically, the different Magnetos are, in fact, the remainder of a cloning experiment, each creating a different Magneto. The process was later refined to allow Wolverine to be in six different titles at the same time.

With the fact that magnetos power makes him progressively nutty the more he uses it, all could essentially be magneto.

As for the Xorn thing...i stick by the retcon...i found this old post on my computer that explains why Morrisons idea sucked the balls and the retcon works better on a practical level

Because its works better. Under morrisons idea Magneto was standing right next to wolverine and he didn't smell him. Thats pretty goofy right there. Plus for someone so interested in infiltrating the xmen for his scheme to work he went about it a long arduous and downright silly manner.

Instead i will go wander around a bit and hope the x-men don't discover that i was completely full of s***. I mean its not like they have an entire corporation of mutants or that they are friends with shield, etc.

And instead of simply kill everybody when i actually join, ill sort of hang around a bit. Eat some hamburgers and cheetos.

Oh wait! And instead of saying i have powers similar to myself that i can replicate. I will simply hope something comes along that will allow to fake like i a healer.

Of course when the x-men actually want me to heal someone and i cant ill just have to say no. I mean its not like that would make me suspect in any way. And even if it did it isn't like i have huge plan for world domination going on.

I guess ill just have to hang around with these idiot x-men for a while. I have to recruit them after all so they can stand around and do dope with me when i start to blow things up.

Why if were magneto one might think this would be a good time to reveal myself to them and get them to roll with me. But no ill help the x-men beat them because, god dammit, i need beak for my master plan. Him and the guy with no depth perception. They will certainly be assets to me when i want to usher in a golden age. Oh well, why not, ill reveal to him myself when he is useless and hope he doesn't scream my name out...or that the x-men aren't recording any of this with the security system they surely have.

Hmmm getting high is fun. I should share it with the students, because you know, no one has ever not accepted drugs before. I mean if someone were to do that they might rat me out. But hey this is a master plan!

I mean i imprisoned myself. Learned Chinese at some point. Tried to sell myself to someone trafficking mutant parts, who most probably has some sort of mutant power damper, on the off change the x-men catch wind of me in jail.

Plus i got to rig up a space station thing to fly into the sun.

You know this would be a lot easier if Xavier was in the habit of trying to reform super villains and letting them hang out in the mansion....shame he doesn't do that. Real shame. Just imagine him letting me work with the x-men? My god he would never do that.

This plan with all of its holes and problems has a much better plan to succeed.

Hell I'm so confident that i will needlessly save X-men lives when i could just as easily let them die and make my work easier down the road. Don't worry Cyke. ill help you little buddy.
