View Full Version : The cuteness will destroy you with adorableness.

Yesterday, Austin held its seventh annual Easter Pet Parade down S. Congress. Owners dressed up their pets in various outfits and walked them a few blocks down the sidewalk before stopping behind a coffe shop called Jo's that sponsors the event. A stage was set up behind Jo's for people to further put their animals on display before judges voted on the best outfits. There was also a small marching band that played as owners and pets walked down the road. People have died in the past from an overdose of cuteness when they see the animals. I walked the 10 or so minutes over there to see how injured I would become. I'm lucky I made it out of there alive, the adorable factor was so overwhelming.
Check out the pictures I took of some of the best dressed animals there. (http://flickr.com/photos/28506654@N00/sets/72057594108702645/)
Don't forget to hit the "all sizes" button to enlarge the pictures. Look at your own risk and let the "awwww"s commence.

Oh yeah, I'd tap that.
No, seriously, this is the worst tableau of humanity without actually showing people I've ever seen. The owners of these dogs should just remove themselves from the general population right now.

Fuck that, it was adorable as hell. Okay, yeah, some dogs didn't look like they liked it, but most were just happy to socialise with other dogs and new people. I just wish I could've gotten a picture of the dog dressed up as Captain Chaos, Dom Deluise's character in Cannonball Run.

Yeah, I don't see "cute," I just see dogs who must hate their owners.

I want to run and play with all those dogs, and get the outfits all muddy and dirty.
But I can't do anything, because I've turned to goo.

While I don't find them "cute," I *do* think the pics are quite funny, especially the "popcorn box" dog. :D My favorite though IS the "I Love Lucy" doggie, complete with red hair. That's just too funny. :D

If you mean the picture that StoneGold put up, that's not Lucy. That's Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.

From left to right: a flying monkey, Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, and Toto.
These dogs far from hated their owners too. At least, from what I saw. Most of them just loved all the attention. You guys are too cynical. Yes, like Dan, I wanted to play with the dogs too which would've probably upset some of their owners because the costumes would get too messed up. But . . . doggies!

Okay, I can see the dorothy... but she's missing the pigtails, and dorothy had brown hair, not red. I still think it looks very much like a Lucy outfit. :D

She has pigtails, but they're just not very long. They're what the bows are for.
