The all-purpose CITY OF HEROES megathread

After a long hiatus, I reactivated my account and have been playing for the last few months. I was surprised to see that I somehow had access to City of Villains (though I eventually learned that they did this for a lot of old accounts). So I've been busy playing my awesome villain Dr. Gearbox on the Victory server. I've actually gotten him up to level 23, which is surprising given my altitis.

So, what do you guys think of Issue 12 (http://www.cityofheroes.com/game_update12.html)? I think it looks very cool. I really like that new zone that's back in ancient Rome. I created a roman-style character awhile ago that fits perfectly with it... especially with those awesome costumes.

I'm also pretty excited about the villain epics. I already have a lot of great ideas for characters with them. It's cool how they're branching those ATs so it's actually more like four different ATs.

Actually, Photon Red isn't my first 50. My first toon, Armor Red, hit 50 years ago, before I went on hiatus. And yes, he is also another Red Power Ranger.

I'm excited for the villain epic ATs. Now I just need to get a character, past my previous max level of 34, red or blue side. My SS/WP brute is currently at 32 and making nice progress. Huzzah for XP smoothing! Heh, it'll only have taken me 3 years plus, playing on and off, to get my first 50.

And I like those Roman capes, 'specially the more cloak style over-the-shoulder hybrids.

I'm more interested in the new Midnight Squad missions and the Roman Ouroboros stuff, especially with the tag "Throughout this journey players uncover the mysteries of power and the origins that guide them today." Lots of speculation that we may be encountering the Well of the Furies long before States and Recluse get there.

And I'll be REALLY interested in Power Proliferation once they start making purchasable character slots available!

Agreed! I12 looks absolutely awesome.

And Power Proliferation... Plant/Thermal Controller anyone? :) Lots of fun possibilities.

For the record, I play on Freedom. Got 2 50's Hero side and am working on 2 50's Villain-side.
