Can we please cut down on the avatars etc of people wanting us to pull Dan's you-know-what in order to save his book. ;) It's getting rather boring!

I got the scare of my life:On the boards' main page, I could only read "No More 'THING'..." and I thought that the thread was about official news that the book was cancelled...

You just did it yourself in a way.
I don't read peoples signatures, i often turn them off if i can.
Let them try to push the book, why not?
I will buy the trade/s anyway, it is a retro and fun comic, nice to read after some Ultimates or other realistic-gritty stuff:D

He probably was expecting all these people to come out of the woodwork and join him in cries of "Stop pimping this book!!(it's annoying)"
Well, the book is definately worth pimping and even more worth your time in reading, oh and Agentum, if all the pimping has not made you decide to pull the book, at least consider it if you enjoy the trade.

Same here! I was thinking "NOOOOO!!!!" I haven't even gotten the chance to pick it up!!!!
I see the issues on ebay, and I can get all of them for $15, but that will sort of defeat the purpose of supporting the book, won't it? Although I WILL start picking it up at the closest place I can. I just want to get the issues I missed.

It's a campaign. It's not a joke. You think this is a game? We're trying to save a book here. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
...See? It just doesn't work when you take it seriously! :D
Buy Thing! Put it on your pull list! Be happy!

No - everyone's got it wrong. What makes Dan's you know what book so interesting that they want to save it over titles like New X Men V2 among others? :D

See - that's the whole point I'm trying to make here. Dan feels like making his books too silly for people to read IMO! Why not add some drama into them? ;)

I went to the doctor about my Thing being always being hard and orange. I can't even go out in public with it anymore. People just stare. Some women even cry.

I assembled a set (1-4) of well thumbed through copies from the various local comic book stores. I have read them and just loved them.
I then went on eBay and got me a set of NM Things (1-4).
Finally, I made sure that I added The Thing to my pull list.
Life is good -- I love my Thing.
