Cosmic fights we want to see

Okay, we've had a taste of what's possible thanks to the prologue and the first issue of the Silver Surfer mini.

Now...what cosmic slobberknockers do you want to see out of this event?

Some examples:

Surfer vs. Annihilus
Ronan vs. Drax
United Kree/Skrull Armada vs. Annihilation Wave
Thanos vs. Everybody!

I would like to have seen the three main empires all going up against eacother but caus eof the whole Brubaker thing thats nto gonna happen...which is a real shame.

I don't think the Kree have much of an Armada left. 90 percent of their population got wiped out a few years back. They were subjugated by the Shi'ar, and I think only relatively recently gained their freedom again (but I could be wrong because I haven't completely kept up with it).

I'd like to see Ronan kick some butt. He's always been a pretty cool character and it's nice to see him get some spotlight time. Universal Weapon vs. Cosmic Rod might be an interesting matchup.

Drax and Thanos are long overdue for a rematch.

But what I -really- want to know is:

Why didn't they include Beta Ray Bill?!?

Surfer isn't a match for Thanos? Power-wise, I find that a little hard to swallow, but Thanos is way more cunning and resourceful, so I could see him winning through trickery or advanced planning.

I'm under the impression that Surfer is the most powerful of Galactus' heralds, so if Thanos is THAT freaking powerful... wow. He'd make a great herald, with death being his modus operandi, and all. Galactus wouldn't even need to imbue him with the power cosmic.

Just how did he get that powerful anyway? Ah, forget it, I should know this stuff. I've been a fan for 25 years now.

Really, there are a bunch of fights I'd like to see play out between the Annihilation characters but I'm sure we'll be getting the good ones during each character's mini.

Thanos is not the best candidate for a herald, him and Galactus more or less hating eachother is one reason. And he´s got too strong a will to be controlled by even Galactus.
He hasn´t given up on death yet but he´s gotten far from the guy who would seek omnipotence which he would slay half the universe just to make lady Death smile. He´s more of an anti-hero or something nowadays.

Super-Skrull vs. Annihilus - So, Annihilus counts the Fantastic Four among his archenemies, Kl'rt has the power of the Four, and Annihilus is destroying the Skrulls. Sounds like a perfect setup to me!

I know this is a silly question, but would Adam Warlock be a good herald? I mean he turned on the humans who created him. So what makes us think he wouldn't turn on Galacutus without pursuading?

If Adam Warlock did become a herald of Galactus. Would he be able to attain the Godhood he sorta respectfully deserves?

Galactus certainly performed some alterations, most prominent being the "you can't leave Earth" bit he threw in. I forget how the Surfer ended up getting around that. Besides, why waste the energy when you can just re-absorb it?

Here are two matches that I would love to see.

Nova vs. Drax - They are my favorite characters in the mini. I think it would be pretty cool.

Ronan vs. Super Skrull - Kree vs. Skrull, baby! Kick-a$$! On a serious note, I just want to see Ronan whoop Super Skrull.


Now, two dream matches.

Silver Surfer vs. Annhillus - Really, I just want to see SS show off what he can do when he's pissed off. I'm sick of his simpathetic attitude.

Jean Grey vs. Any non-X-men related cosmic - Not to see her get beaten down, but to see her away from the X-titles. I want to see her by herself, as a character, not Scott's former piece, or Logan's crush, or any of the stuff she seems to always be stuck with that nerf her story potential.

Maybe she can find some new friends, like Ronan (yeah, like that will happen), or Silver Surfer.

To be fair my impression has always been that Surfer has more (personal) FIREPOWER than Thanos does (Thanos' blasts can shatter buildings, Surfer can glass the surface of a planet) It's just that Thanos is just about the toughest think in Marvel that has an actual body.

He was sucked into a FREAKING BLACK HOLE for godssake, and came out of it with only a few scratches!

I would get a real kick out of seeing him just hang out through the whole story, manipulating people and offering Annihilus smarmy comments as to how HE would've done things better. And no matter what the outcome is, it happens exactly the way he wishes it.

Ummm....No. Silver Surfer is the most powerful herald. Most versatile energy manipulator, smartest, and unlimited energy supply. Don't know about the Fallen One, but I guess we'll find out.

Id have to slightly disagree about Surfer being the most powerful herald.I think that the Asgardian Destroyer is more powerful than surfer, but apart from that I think Surfer and Morg are about equal, although I agree Surfer does seem to be the most versatile energy manipulator.

I am interested to see how powerful the fallen one is, I think it would make sense if he was as powerful, maybe slightly more powerful than surfer as he is the first herald and according to 'thanos - samaritan' he felt he would have a good chance against a weakened galactus!

In all honesty, considering the turnout of the Stormbreaker mini, I was under the impression that Beta Ray Bill is going to be more of an Earth-based hero from now on. But that was just my take on it.

I'm inclined to agree. Though it would be awesome to see Bill back in the cosmic stuff with Skuttlebutt again eventually (even though I do like Simon Walters, but that's me speaking as a new fan who got to 'know' Bill through 'Stormbreaker').

Yep, I have the mag, but cant remember how he got involved. But to answer your question - Yep he's so far out of his league it hurts!

On the Beta Ray Bill issue, im sure if the universe was in massive danger (i.e a massive fleet of bugs invaded) the odin force in Beta Ray's hammer would alert him and im sure he would leave earth to help fight them!
