This week Tracie gets attacked by three trades! And I can't remember if I ordered TOURIST or not. It's a Brian Wood graphic novel, though.

I'm really excited to finally get to read Young Avengers (though I fear most of the surprises have already been spoiled for me). And I've waited a long time to get to read Andi Watson's Little Star. And I'm hoping FRESHMEN is as funny as it sounds.

WAITING FOR THE TRADE:

CRISIS AFTERMATH THE BATTLE FOR BLUDHAVEN #1 (OF 6) $2.99
DMZ #6 (MR) $2.99

DARK HORSE
STAR WARS BOBA FETT ONE SHOT $2.99
I've gotten all of the other Boba Fett issues, why stop now?
STAR WARS REBELLION #1 $2.99
The recent $0.25 issue convinced me to give this the ol' flip test.

DC COMICS
CRISIS AFTERMATH THE BATTLE FOR BLUDHAVEN #1 (OF 6) $2.99
Still a little pissed that they firebombed Bludhaven in IC, but I'm interested in seeing where Palmiotti & Gray take this story.
NIGHTWING #119 $2.50
Still on the fence about whether or not to continue reading this book.

MARVEL
EXILES #79 $2.99
Pelletier returns!
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #93 $2.99
And the price hike begins...

Wait for Trade
BPRD UNIVERSAL MACHINE - either I'll pick the issues off of eBay at a discount or wait for the trade.

DESOLATION JONES #6 - If I could wait 18 months for a tpb I'd do it.

ANNIHILATION SUPER SKRULL #1 - May be the #1 book out of this stack that I'll read.
CABLE DEADPOOL #27 - I can't believe I got sucked into this book.
FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN #7 - Cool.
MS MARVEL #2 - YESYESYES!!!
SON OF M #5 - This is so good!
THUNDERBOLTS #101 - Last issue was nutty.
ULTIMATE EXTINCTION #4 - Almost over!
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #93 - Another Wed, another good Ultimate ish!
UNCANNY X-MEN #472 - Apoc!
X-MEN THE 198 #4 - Cool....
WARREN ELLIS BLACK GAS WRAPAROUND #2 - Avatar is unreliable with the tpb's, so I'm in for the Ellis books.

Trade Items:

BLADE OF THE IMMORTAL #112 - Of course!
100 BULLETS #71 - Must get the new tpb....
FABLES #48 - Trying to shield myself from the info on this book. So tempted...
LOVELESS #6 - Waiting for vol. 1
GIRLS #12 - tpb 2 is on order.
FANTASTIC FOUR FIRST FAMILY #2 - Looks like a HC to me.
If it's on sale when it's new, I may get BATMAN 100 too.

I have a backup of trades to get to. I've got 7 Soldiers, Maxx vol 6, Ex Machina vol 3, and some manga. AND baseball season is starting! I need a week off of work just to read comics!

SIDE NOTE:

I went to MD this past weekend to see the Sox/O's game on Friday. While I was in town I forgot about the comic museum (D'oh!) but I did visit a few shops. I picked up a stack of MARVEL FANFARE comics, 3 Marvel GN's from the 80's, and a stack of KA-ZAR THE SAVAGE from the 70-80's. Man of the Ka-Zar books have killer Brent Anderson wrapped covers.

I'm working from a handwritten list here, so please forgive the lack of detail:

SHAOLIN COWBOY #5
DESOLATION JONES #6
MARVEL ROMANCE REDUX
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #93
DRAW and WRITE NOW magazines

That's basically it. I might pick up THE COMICS JOURNAL, but I'm definitely dropping NIGHTWING. I'm not sure if BONEYARD is still on my pull list or not. If it is, I'll be dropping it for the trade after this.

I might pick up FRIENDLY NIEGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN. That'll be a flip test.

Augie - Are you able to keep up with Write Now and TCJ? Those things are so dense. Good and stacked w/ data, but dense.

WRITE NOW I can more or less keep up with. It might take me a couple of months, but I can come and go with the help of a bookmark and by taking it one article at a time. THE JOURNAL is a little harder. I have to admit that I don't think I've read more than one article in each of the last two issues. Usually, half of each issue is stuff that doesn't matter much to me, but the other half is pure gold. I really would like to read that Eddie Campbell interview, for example. . .

That book's a pain in the butt. I have it. I have nowhere to put it, due to its awkward size. I haven't even started reading it.

ARGH!

I'm still only two interviews through the WRITERS book from the same series that just came out a couple of months ago.
