This arc just had me completely confused especially the ending. Who is this Muramasa guy and why if he was supposed to be dead is Wolverine looking for him? Can anyone break it down as to what happened in this arc of any signifigance.

Muramasa promised Wolverine that he would magically forge a sword using Logan's soul as being able to kill anyone including himself. It's never shown that he died during Winter Soldier's killing of the samurai guards.

As far as the arc goes basically it's going under the premise that post-HoM Wolverine remembers everything but his memories don't come in all at once. His first clue/memory leads him to Silver Samurai who tells him about the WS and the assassination of his wife and kid from an old life. Wolverine tracks down the WS and confronts him about it as well as remembering what Muramasa had promised to give him a long time ago.

I know it seems that way but I think it makes a good deal of sense.

He knows bits and pieces and knows where to go to find more about his memories so all he needs is a trigger to fully activate them which even sets of more chains of memories.

So he doesn't remember everything. That's what I'm saying...

Isn't it more that he remembers EVERYTHING---but he doesn't know what is and is not an implanted memory, and he has no context for these memories. He doesn't know how to connect one to the other.

No, I disagree. I think Wolverine remembers everything now, but like all of us, we do not know everything about our own lives. For examples, some people know that their father died when they were five, but they may not know how or why he died. They may have been lied to or the actual circumstances of his death weren't known. Heck, we all know JFK was assassinated, but there are still 1000 theories about that.

Having your memories returned does not fill in all the holes.

So, what did Silver Samurai tell Wolvie and what did Wolvie tell Bucky?

I re-read the arc last night. It filled in some wholes but I am still a little confused. I think that the origin series will straighten things up.

In issue #37 Dugan wants to talk to Cap, after everyone hears Wolvy has all his memories back. Cap tells Dugan, no. What happened in the past, he is not ashamed of, and he can handle the consequences.

Then in Issue #40 Wolvy tells Bucky, The Something, which surprises Bucky. Now it could be something Cap did tp Wolvy, or, what Cap did to Bucky, but something was said, and we haven't heard the last of it, and it seems that Cap is involved, seeing the way Dugan sneers at Cap.

Caps dead, so any revenge Wolvy wanted on Cap is over. Any revenge Bucky wants on Cap is over, too. I still hope we learn some secret revelation shared between both Wolvy and Bucky.
