Everything the Golden Age Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman did that affected anything else was now done by these characters. Simple.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is already out, and might be explained in a later issue of BATMAN/DETECTIVE COMICS. This was one of those story developments that might have seemed like a good idea at the time inside the DC editorial offices, but considering the near universal stink it created among fans, the Retcon Punch might be a good way to conveniently delete the incident from continuity.

Amethyst then picks up where issues 11 and 12 of the second series left off.

Retcon Punch! There was never a horrible story called Graduation Day and Young Justice were never turned into a less-interesting ripoff of the New Teen Titans and the animated Teen Titans.

I like the show, but I'd nitpick with you on some points. The cartoon has roughly the same characters, but those characters don't really have the same personalities as the Wolfman-Perez Titans, and the situations they find themselves in are much less serious. so I think saying "just like" is a misnomer. The Wolfman-Perez Titans actually called each other by their real names, at the very least.

It's also not done by the same animation team as JLU etc. Note how different Robin looks between the two, at the very least. TT is much more manga-esque/cartoony.

Keith Giffen's strange and ridiculous run never happened. We don't have to go through a "Who is Donna Long/Donna Troy/Wonder Girl/Troya" Story line every third year. Marv Wolfman is still writing the Teen Titans. Gerry Conway is still writing Firestorm (sorry John but as much as I like your run on FS I still think Conway is its definitive writer.) Infinite Crisis would be interely unnecessary. There are no continuity waves. The continuity waves haven't spread to the dubbed Duel Masters anime.

Anyways, my point is that I recently re-read Waid's JLA Year One, and I found a lot of new stuff in there. Waid did a good job of incorperating the silver age in that series.

Not necessarily. Tim became Robin because he believed that Bruce needs a Robin to stay grounded and sane. The death of his parents was incidental.

Yeah, he had persuaded Bruce to let him be Robin and was in the middle of training when his mom died. At this point it seems like they're doing all of this so he's more like Dick. My guess is that Bruce planning on adopting him or some such, and then Tim journey toward the dark side will be complete.

Hey, now; I don't hate everything Loeb writes. The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, and Superman For All Seasons are all proof of his creative talent. That's why I was so baffled as to why Public Enemies was such a sloppy, campy Silver Age nostalgia-fest instead of being written at the level of those aforementioned masterworks. Fans of PE compared it to a Michael Bay move ("just turn off your brain and have fun"), but my expectations were set significantly higher, since the great preceding installments of Lex vs. Supes/Bats had me anticipating a well-crafted, proper grand finale instead.

So is this "JLAin't" fanfic thing a pretty good read, then? If so, something to check out on a slow workday afternoon.....

TITANS, LSH, and many of DC's books remain on Earth-1, while several others continue to exist on Earth-2. HAWKWORLD and other new proposals are slowly introduced on New Earth, eventually leading to the formation of a Justice League on that Earth.
