Just starting on it this afternoon, so this "table of contents" will evolve as the day goes on. Having the Masters golf tournament on in the background on my computer screen can't possibly be helping. . .
* Finally, the tale of my trip to a Broadway show, and the comics connection that inevitably came of it.
* Pipeline Previews - Starts with a rant against the direct market, Diamond, and the PREVIEWS catalog, before moving on to a short list of recommendations for the month.
I have many more ideas to fill out the column. We'll see which one inspires me to writing greatness as the day progresses. In the meantime -- man, is Phil Mickelson a choke waiting to happen, or what?

Augie talking about golf in the Pipeline Preview Hype thread?
The world is ending.

I'm a multi-layered person. I could never show ALL of them in one thread.
And I started watching the Masters today only AFTER the season-ending PBA Tournament of Champions concluded. . . Bowling rules.

At the risk of speaking too soon: It looks like Mickelson has this thing wrapped up, four shots ahead with two holes to go.
Back to comics. . .

And one last thing for the column this week:
* Some short reviews and thoughts on books like ESSENTIAL X-MEN 7, MOON KNIGHT #1, BOMB QUEEN, and TRUTH, JUSTIN, AND THE AMERICAN WAY.
All told, that gives you the longest column I've written in a couple of months. In other words, it'll be a nightmare to proofread and edit tomorrow morning. But you people are worth it. ;-)

I saw "Avenue Q" last week in Vegas and loved it! I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, other than the puppets, but I was not let down. I talked my boyfriend into going, and he was VERY apprehensive at first, but he actually loved it also. I plan on getting the soundtrack soon.

I had listened to the soundtrack long before I actually saw the thing, and still enjoyed the heck out of it. In fact, a couple of the songs on the CD are much funnier now that I've seen them in context.

Just to answer a question you posed in the column, Rough Stuff will not be duplicating any artwork from the Modern Masters books.

You made my day, Eric. Thanks! I'll do an update in the column next week, too.
