View Full Version : Thieves & Kings - RIP
Well, I guess #48 was the end. :(
A sad ending to a great series. Yes, it will continue in another form and I am glad that he is able to move on and evolve, as a writer, but still, I will miss the wholeness of this comic and the characters as they were in this book.

Whoa, why's it ending? I've only read the first 2 trades, but enjoyed them quite a bit.

No no no...as I read it in Oakley's forward, Thieves & Kings is NOT ending. The title is changing to Thieves & Kings Presents and will continue with it's current numbering. The regular T&K story will come in much shorter installment (or not every issue at all) and the bulk of the book will be made up of new ideas based in the T&K universe (or not).
The title is going through some shake ups while Oakley finds his bareings creativly. Hopefully T&K will remain intact and get back to a regular schedual in a few years.
I'm a little bummed that T&K is taking a back seat. I LOVE the series. Top 5 List material IMO. But Oakley has many talents and if keep getting stuff like his Walking Mage (http://www.iboxpublishing.com/quintonstrips/qstrips.htm) online strip, it'll all be for the best.
So again, T&K is NOT ending. It's just...changing. (keep tabs on the goings on of Thieves & Kings at the IBox website (http://www.iboxpublishing.com/))
So keep getting those TPs, they rock. Hard.

My LCS didn't receive the copy they ordered for me, so I'm now waiting for the next shipment (which may or may not arrive before christmas).
BTW: wouldn't a new thread without the "RIP" have been better for talking about the new book?

it would've, but I'll admit to my laziness. When/if you get your copy, you are free to start a new thread on it and we will discuss.
