After reports in comic related media that today was the final date that DC could use the character of Superboy, it would appear that the character is up for grabs.

With the termination of the Superboy character over in Infinite Crisis... and a golden statue to his memory, no less....

It leaves us with the question of where and in what form he may be appearing in the future.

Question: What would superboy look like and how would he behave if he "fell to Marvel's Earth in the New Avengers?"

so how long have you had this addiction to the rock? Superboy wouldn't make it in the marvel universe, especially not with that weird hair shaved on the sides look.

Yeah there's no way the Collective will be Superboy.

There's too many weird issues between the copyright and the trademark. Besides, I don't see that netting Siegal's heirs that much cash.

Problem is, the Avengers have already dealt with a cosmic-powered being named Michael-in particular, Michael Korvac, who killed them all before resurrecting them as penance. Hence Tony's demanding to know if 'Michael's last name was Korvac.

If it were Superboy Prime, he would have identified himself as Clark.

Unless he meant: "Mi [name is] Cl[ark]".

Hmm? HMM?! :p

I doubt he would have identified himself as Clark because DC would probably still have the rights to the name Clark Kent, just not Superboy.

Him and Buried Alien could hang out.

That would be pretty awesome if whenever a character from Marvel or DC died, they'd rename them and put them in the other universe. But if that happened, Marvel would have all DC characters, and vice versa.

Maybe it was Myk-El?

Myk-el Mo-Ran and he could go by the name of Miracle Boy. Neil Gaiman could right the series. :D

Michael Moran is MarvelMan/MiracleMan which Neil Gainman has the copyrights to which he and McFarlane have been fighting over in court and Neil finally won.

Superboy goes by the names of Conner or Kon-El.

I dunno why he would have said Michael.

No, I don't think that's the case. Especially since Bendis probably didn't even know that DC was going to kill off Superboy when he wrote this storyline.

Thing is, he could have identified himself as something similar-take, for example Alien Blue Skinned Superman, aka Gladiator, who's known as Kallark.

So if it was their intent at all, they would've worked around it.

It could be

Micheal Korvac - doubt it as it would be a little obvious

Mikhail Rasputin - nice little twist and Mikhail needs a major arc to dictate what his powers are

Molecule Man - Could be a serious threat and Bendis wants to make 2nd teir characters major threats

Beyonder- he's got the look, it would be a nice little added on

Mimic- very well possible and maybe the best call Marvel could do

Collective- the powers that where released developed sentinece
