I wish it were assembled as a miniseries like the original Wolfman/Perez HISTORY OF THE DCU published not long after CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS wrapped up. I really don't relish the idea of having to learn the history of the new, Post-INFINITE CRISIS DCU in piecemeal 52 comics. It's too easy to miss something important that way.
Maybe a TPB down the line somewhere?

It's only the first two months or so of 52 if that helps.

I'll distract the shopkeeper, and you rip out those History pages while they aren't looking.

Maybe they'll collect it midway through 52, so as to whet fan's appetite for the series. Eh, it's possible.
Incidentally, this is what the solicitations said:
"Also, starting in Week #2: "The History of the DC Universe," a 10-part backup feature by Dan Jurgens and Art Thibert that takes you on a tour through the legendary past of the DCU."

I think it's a bonus feature on the first 10 issues of 52 (by which point, DC hopes you'll be willing to stick it out for the 42 still left). Don't be suprised if this comes as part of the 52 TPB which I imagine will have to come out - though then again, DC could do what Udon did with the SF series, and make the backups uncollected in the trades.

Well, the preview art has Earth-2 Robin in his original goofy costume, Kal-L and the Crime Syndicate so I'm thinking it's likely.

Where have you seen this preview art?

Right here...Woohoo! Awesome. Thank you.
I know they won't be collecting any of 52 until after the last issue, but I hope they will collect all 10 of the History of the DCU back-ups into it's own trade.
