Firestorm question: what happened to the elemental Firestorm.

I see in the new previews make mention of Prof Stein being part of the new firestorm. What happened to the Elemental Firestorm?? I am so outta the loop here.

At the end of the last Firestorm series, Stein became the elemental Firestorm. After saving the Earth he became trapped on the other side of the galaxy (or universe, I can't remember which.) During War of the Gods, Stein managed to switch places with Ronnie in order to help the other heroes battle Circe. After the battle, both switched back. A few years later, Ronnie got cancer but was cured and regained the ability to become Firestorm the Nuclear Man. During Idenitity Crisis, Firestorm was stabbed by Shining Knight's sword while it was in the hands of Shadow Thief. He exploded and his energy went to Jason Roush who became the new Firestorm. However, this time Jason could merge any other person to become Firestorm.

At the start of Infinite Crisis, Jason and his friend Mick merged into Firestorm and joined Donna Troy's group that headed for the hole in space. Once there, Mick apparently died and Firestorm split. However, the Martin Stein Firestorm arrived at the scene and merged with Jason so once again Stein is part of the Firestorm mix.
