I posted this same shpeel in the "I just bought thread" then realized I should just start my own thread for it, so I'm gonna copy that post over so we can enjoy a thread dedicated to this new album. :evilsmile

I picked up Lacuna Coil's Karmacode yesterday (it just came out yesterday also) and I am impressed! I haven't bought "In a Reverie" or their S/T as of yet, but I've had Comalies for 2 years and I loved that disc. Back to the point though, Karmacode is an EXCELLENT album, I haven't heard a bad song on it at all. I find track #4 to be especially compelling even though its pretty mellow for them.

This album is a great progressive follow up to Comalies, you can hear subtle differences in styling but theres no drastic musical direction change alla Metallica from thier S/T to Load. I highly recommend this album to anyone that enjoys LC to begin with and anyone else who enjoys melodic metal.

I give this bad boy an overall 10/10!

I didn't like this much.

The songs are nowhere near as memorable as the ones on the earlier albums, and the only one I've actually enjoyed is the cover of Enjoy The Silence.

I like all the earlier stuff, but the recent single didn't impress me at all. Not bad of course, but about the weakest I ever heard from them. So I'll take a listen to the album and then decide. I'm afraid their stay in America did Americanize their music unfortunately though.....but of course they're saying that's totally not true, it's a natural progression.......comes with the job...shame though.

still waiting to get it from the library (then a do a magic trick and i have a copy). saw them in concert with Rob Zombie. She liked to have her legs spread and He did some corny ass moves by spreading his arms out, they did a Depeche Mode cover, can't remember the song, since i don't care too much about D.M., but the cover did kick sumass! My bro refered to Depeche Mode as "Depressing Mode" when i asked if what he thought of LC. He said he only like a couple of their songs (he was there mainly for Rob Zombie), which it's like whatever cause they all blurred as one to me. But I like Lacuna Coil, I like them alot. But I HATE those tarzan noises, totally uncalled for!
