No, I vomit up my kills for them.

Just one of the many ways that CBR makes your entertainment dollar stretch further.

This is just God's way of making you sneeze tuna fish all over your desk.

I thought I got it all until I noticed one of them licking my desk lamp.I must admit, a small part of me is always grateful when pets save me the trouble of cleaning up a mess.* But I guess a keyboard is gonna need more and quicker attention than a floor.

* - But the dinner-time staring and licking of chops creeps me out a bit.

You have to train them not to do that. My brother's dog is only allowed in the kitchen/dining area when called to clean up a mess.

These are all other people's dogs. I can't instill many good or bad habits in them during a weekend visit. In the case of Granny's dog, I'm lucky not to get pissed on (and, subsequently pissed off) when I show up.

He's got such a sweet face, though, and is so happy to see me, it's hard to get too upset.

Based on years of research (aka, watching cartoon characters stiffle sneezes by covering both nostrils with a horizontal finger), and a few months of trial and error, I've found a 90% effective method of sneeze stiffling.

Use your thumb and index finger in a "pinch" position. Find the spot in your nose where the bone ends and carthilage starts (it's about an inch from your nostrils). *There* is the 'sneeze chamber', if you please. Apply some pressure when you feel the sneeze is coming...enough pressure to 'crush' the sneeze itch. And then, it is crucial for you to hold your breath. No air must pass your nose. Wait a couple of seconds and then inhale slowly through the mouth.

Sneeze averted.

Tough break, Tom. I remember being in a similar situation, when I was chewing a mouthful of scrambled egg sandwich. The sneeze lodged pieces of egg and bread in the back of my nose. I had to inhale hard to dislodge them and move them back to my throat. I was smelling scrambled egg for days.

Were you able to power through your disgust and finish your sandwich?

Fortunately, it was my last bite.

I read somewhere that it was impossible to sneeze without blinking. So, one time when I had the sneeze itch, I held my eyes open to try to stop it. It turns out that it is possible, but it hurts and makes you dizzy. Next time, I'll just take the sneeze.
