Smelly Birthday

It's by birthday - and the doctor has signed me off work for two weeks!

The best gift ever - now I can catch up on the Ultimate Hardcovers, my jumbo sized compilation of Commando comics, all the issues I bought at Wizard World, all six of the star wars DVD's, try to finish Collusus, Metal Gear Solid, all the books I've got stacked up, update my website, orgainise my photo albums and listen to all the new music I've bought (incl Punchys album - which I got signed by Jim Mahfood - now all I need is the recording artists signature).....

Maybe the doctor can sign me off for a further two weeks!.

So, I'm 36, got a few cards, texts and calls this morning, my girlfriend bought me a Leatherman (http://www.leathermans.co.uk/wave.htm), which, as a boy, has to be the best gift I've ever recieved (it did take me dragging her into a shop, pointing it out, and saying out loud - oh! what a great present that would make!!!!!)

Dinner tonight - when we planned tonight - ohh, all of three days ago, I didn't think I'd be off work - so midweek festivities would be kept to a minimum - so it's pizza and DVD's - we are going to relive our holiday with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Grand Theft Parsons.

Then it's time for the dirty birthday sex - you don't seen many of those birthday cards at Hallmark.

whilst clambering around in the Grand Canyon - cheap equipment let me down, I fell, and twisted my knee - all this within five minutes of going over the rim - so with a 40lb pack, I walked the rest of the 16 miles hopped up on painkillers - my knee was the size of a football, but I was racing up and down those paths!

By the time I got back to blighty - and back to the doctor, I was diagnosed as having ripped the ligaments below my knee - and as I have a very physical job, climbing up and down ladders, scaffolding and staircases, the doc told me to lay up for two weeks.

Thanks for the well wishes folks - but this is the best kind of sick leave - any pain dulled by giant horse type painkillers - and I can sit and play video games all day!
