A comic shop near me is selling the full miniseries of Thor from the MAX line. It's scripted by Garth Ennis and illustrated by Glenn Fabry. Is it worth picking up? Can anyone give me a brief synopsis on what it's about?

Thor fights immortal viking zombies. Lots of fun.

Yeah, it's not great or anything, but it's a fun little mini. Ennis and Thor is a combination I never expected to see, and I was kinda right. It didn't feel like a very Thor-like story, but man... Viking zombies doing gory things. What's not to like?

(I also thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Strange's guest appearance)

One of the few Ennis-Marvel things I truly enjoyed. But 5 issues were enough. It was purely fun and nothing to take serious.

Thor Vikings was horrible.
It's basically New York getting slaughtered in what should be one of the worst disasters ever to happen in the MU (though not really, since it's not in continuity, right?) yet Thor doesn't really seem to care all that much... and don't even get me started on the joke-cracking Dr Strange who appears to care even less. It has a mix between "humor" and gratuitous gore that makes me uneasy. It's not even dark humor either.

Honestly, I love Thor, I LOVE Dr Strange and I really like Ennis' work in Punisher... But this is a mess.
This is just my opinion, of course.
