Interesting. The issue itself looks pretty good as well. Although I do find it funny that Captain Mar-Vell's son (Genis) is killed off and then Captain Mar-Vell is just given another one (Teddy).

Yes, Genis is Mar-Vell's son. Here's part of the wikipedia article on Genis (which I'm pretty sure is correct).
After the death of Mar-Vell, his lover Elysius decided to have a son. As one of the Eternals living on Titan, she used her race's advanced technology to impregnate herself with some of Mar-Vell's genetic material. Elysius sought to protect her new son, Genis-Vell, from Mar-Vell's powerful enemies by taking him to a distant planet. There, she aged him artificially and implanted memories, making him believe that he had a natural childhood and that Starfox was his father.

The preview for this issues looked great. I am very interested to see where the Kree-Skrull thing goes. I really have been impressed with this comic.

I think it was a combination of a few things.
Civil war and also marvel has been doing the more often, to let the writers and artists that are little on the slow side catch up.

This is the best comic out there, I wish it would come out more often.

That doesn't really matter at all. If my mother figure got killed, then I found out she wasn't my mother I'd still care. Blood does not equal family. If I never met my real mother and she died, I probably wouldn't be too shook up about it either.

How is Patriot still fighting? After we found out he has no super soldier serum in him, nothing really changed. They never dealt with him being trained or anthing.

Great looking preview there. Can't wait for the issue and it's pretty hard to side with the Kree with the way they always do things.
