Would it be accurate to say that the Wasp, Janet Van Dyne, has worn more different costumes than all the rest of the Avengers put together?

I mean, there's fifty-some Avengers, yeah? Many of them have never changed their costumes significantly. Most others have a total of maybe three.

Jan, on the other hand, used to change her costume damn near every issue. Has anyone ever tallied up who's in the lead, Jan or every other Avenger ever?

i don't think it'd be accurate to say she's more than ALL the rest of the avengers put together. but i'd say she'd be in the lead in comparison to any one avenger :D

it's fairly safe to say that every single avenger has worn at least two different costumes, meaning that there are at least 100+ costumes out there. I doubt that the wasp beats that number, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's close.

Are we going to count ONLY the Avengers books, or do we include her appearances with the Avengers in X-men #9... in Fantastic Four #26, #29, etc. and how about all those solo stories in Tales to Astonish, in which her boyfriend changes costumes about once every six issues? I'm not kidding. Look at the changes Giantman goes through. It's constant.

The uniform that I recall most is the one she settled on for the longest run, say, Avengers #50 through 100 or so... red tights with the gold sequens over top the body. That's the image I remember most while she is fullsized. She even comments upon it at one time, I just read it in an Avengers reprint, but I don't recall if it's in an Essential or in the latest Avengers Masterworks volume 5... #41-51 or if it was in Avengers Annual #2...where they time-travel and meet themselves.

The Wasp is a designer when she is not an Avenger. She's not only designed her own numerous costumes, but many of her fellow Avengers' costumes as well.

I finally got the link to work for a while.
I couldn't believe how many variation this guy came up with.
Personally, I would have dismissed many of these variations as printer errors or colorist liberties.
I would only count the MAJOR revisions.!!!!
