Now, eleven years after the band's demise, the UK reissue label Renascent will release the Comsat Angels' first three albums (Waiting for a Miracle, Sleep No More, and Fiction), as well as the BBC sessions comp Time Considered as a Helix of Semi-Precious Stones, all on April 3. They'll begin taking orders on their online shop a few weeks earlier, lest that pesky distribution problem prevents anyone from hearing these albums again.
Renascent has stuffed each reissue (except for the BBC LP, obvs) with bonus tracks, demos, and outtakes, adding to the bonuses already included on those 1995 CD releases.
Comsat Angel were a Sheffield post-punk band that existed from 1979 to 1995, but their heyday was '79 to '82 where they released some great dark post-punk. Unfortunately their music has been out of print for years.
So Johnathan, Zombie, and uh...Zhaki...have you heard them as well? Let's all break out the dark trench coats and skulk the city the ill lit streets.
