The first 12 issues are awesome. Romita Jr. did all of them except for one. Issue #8 (or was it #9) was drawn by the late John Buscema.
Romita Jr.'s last arc was an awesome 5 parter featuring Thanos, and I'm surprised it's never been collected. Thor #21-25.

I thought the first two yeare we're great, but once JRjr left, the series kinda went down hill. No slight against andy, but he just wasnt' fit to draw thor. He should have done shulkie(loved his card)

yes JRJR's thor looks fantastic. Kubert's thor is a little more dynamic, a little less huge and imposing

Dial tone is spot on. Those early issues with the Dark Gods are fantastic, as is the Thanos storyline.

Thor is where I really starteed to love JRjr's art. The first 25 issues were great. The cover to issue 25 is one of my all time favorite shots of Thor.

I wasn't big on any of his THOR stuff (not a Jurgens fan), but his THORION book from the second Amalgam event was pretty darn good.

The Thorion special looks pretty good. Did that come out int he first wave of Amalgam or the second?

I'll chip in just to say that JRJR's Thor was great. I really think that the first 25 issues of the that series were amazing.
The Dark Gods storyline is available in a trade, but single issues haven't really increased in value so you should be able to find them. The Thanos storyline in the 20's also is very good.
Just to brag, I've got two of JRJR's pages from the issue Herc guest starred in. The one has Herc lifting some ladies over his head in a bar and the other is Thor and Herc in an intense conversation.
