View Full Version : Gonna see the Go-Go's tomorrow night!
Yep, I'm driving back from Houston, to meet up w/ Nick, and we are going to see the Go-Go's on a SUNDAY (ie: work) night.
:)
it's the 25th anniversary tour, w/ all 5 original members.
has anyone seen em on this tour?
I'm wondering if we are gonna get all classics, or if there will be some solo Belinda, Jane Weidlin, or other's solo stuff mixed in.
gawd, I would LOVE to hear "cool places" live :)

Hope it's a great show, have a good time.
thanks :)
I just did a Google Search, and came across the set-list from last night's show in Tunica!
Looks like they are performing the entirety of "Beauty and the Beat" (in the running order!), and then following it up w/ songs from "Vacation" and "Talk Show"
makes sense, I suppose, since the tour is being promoted as the 25th anniversary of that Album. . .
I'm pretty stoked about it

I didn't even know there was a tour. I'll have to look for local dates.

the show is pretty dang amazing. . . .but they are insane, if they think anyone is gonna pay $30 for a fricking T-SHIRT!
if the Stimulators are opening, be sure to get there early enough to catch them. . they were very good (one song sucked. . but that one sounded like a "Hole" song). . the "industrial" version of Rush's "Tom Sawyer" was great.
they reminded me very much of the Divinyls.

Beauty and the Beat was one of the great pop albums of the 80s. I saw them on their first tour when they were supporting that album and they were awesome.

Belinda's voice was a tiny bit shaky, but she looked good. Charlotte didn't age very well. . .but Gina, Kathy (oh my god, she looked fantastic), and Jane looked incredible.

Multiple Star Wars stickers on her guitar, who knew she was a Star Wars nerd?

Oh, my. That is one Star Wars fan I'll show my lightsaber anytime she wants.
And, bert, thirty bucks for a t-shirt at a concert has been the going rate for about 7 or 8 years now. Maybe longer. Needless to say, I rarely get one.
