Hey Faded, cool story, reminds me a lot of Ult X-Men in many ways but a few ?'s
Their first mission as the X-Men was a reunion with the Brotherhood. With them was a new member, seemingly Raquel Summers' nearly solidified spirit due to Wicked's power. Determined to finish what they started, Wicked was to repeat her exact moves from their last battle. Seeing what it had done to Scott before, she ran away to the sewers below the surface before the Brotherhood could do anything about it.
Is Raquel basically a play on Rachel. Could I imagine she looks the same? And is Wicked inherently bad, or does she have a "good" inside of her that needs to be exorcised?
Despite the change in plans, leader Magneto was able to pin down Scott Summers once more while the rest of his team occupied the other X-Men. Waiting for news crews to arrive, after an hour of capture Magneto publicly killed Scott with a metal shard right through the heart. The image of his death implanted in his teammates brains and was broadcast all over the country.
Ouch! I think Cyclops' would hurt in many ways...but why not make Iceman the leader. You started off with him creating their club, why not make him a man finally :) , unlike his 616 counterpart..
Upon examining the mind and memories of her mentor, she learned how he has been exploiting the kids and even making sexual advances on seventeen-year-old Jean Grey. Shortly after, he'd mind wipe all those around him. What a naughty old man :evilangry I would never trust Prof X.
Emma went to alert her friends, but Xavier quickly became aware of her activities. In a game of telepathic tag, Xavier would mind wipe his pupils as Emma would race to reverse the effects. Eventually Emma's youthful endurance would wear Charles out and his powers permanently burned out.
Because of this, whatever other secrets Xavier held were now blocked from Emma's telepathy to reach. I like the fact that Emma can outwit Xavier. And I love Emma taking over leadership, whichleads to my next question.....
Renaming the team back to X-Factor, Emma and Jean agreed to jointly lead the team in a mission to change the world so that someday mutants and humans will peacefully coexist. They have also set up beds in the basement so that they can take in abandoned young mutants and add members to their cause.............How can Emma and Jean coexist? I'm assuming they have similar attitudes/personalities as 616, and I know that Scott did not come between them here but just by the nature of the two I would assume some friction could occur. Make Bobby your leader, we all know men rule better than woman! :p just kidding
Elsewhere, we find Xavier digging through a grave at night in an empty cemetary. In the shadows, the rodents on the grass only see a shadowy figure dragging along a body and dropping it into a trunk.
A red flash of light emerges from the windows of the van, and a pair of glowing red eyes frown angrily into the darkness...
Gambit!?
It's a good premise. I could see it a 3 part comic. Give Bobby some manly leadership skills and have him start a relationship with Jean. And I think you're going to need a secretary.......Preview!!
