At one of the nearest malls, my sister and I always visit the bookstore to look at fantasy novels. One of the workers always talks to me and we get into these pseudo-geek discussions. Well, these conversations can last anywhere up to 10-40 minutes.

My sister says he's hitting on me, I say he's just showing geek solidarity. What do you all think?

Probably both. He appreciates the fact that you are geeky and enjoy the same things he does. And probably also digs you a bit. If you dig him, ask him out for lunch or something to further discuss the geeky stuff. :)

I actually ran into an attractive woman at the comic book shop this morning. We spoke for a few minutes while waiting in line. She is mainly into anime and not comics, so we didn't have a whole lot in common in respect to that, but it's cool to find that it's not all geeky, smelly, fanboys that go in the shops. Oh yeah, the conversation didn't lead up to anything...I'm married.

I kind of dig him, but I'm moving a state away in a month. I wouldn't be opposed to being friends.

But a paranoid part of me thinks he's only nice cause I always end up buying stuff there.

Nowhere near enough data to judge.

Well, all we do is discuss D&D and Fantasy, and once Battle Angel Alita...

Exactly. He may just like to talk about such things.

Exactly. He may just like to talk about such things.

Which is why I think he's just showing geek solidarity. Though it's also possible he's just trying to make a sale...

Is he rubbing against you as he's talking?

More than likely it's just two geeks talking.

he could just be having a 'guy crush' on you or something.

of course, maybe he is hitting on you. that or the geek solidarity thing.

(sorry to say). . .but if you're having fun, then it really doesn't matter either way :)

by the way, Jerr. . have you ever posted photos of yourself? (I must admit, I'm curious).

True enough. Don't know if I'm going to ask or not, though.

Nobody can get through life without any regrets, but this would be a really stupid one to have. Just do it. I don't know much about the ettiquite of this sort of thing though but I would suggest you make the offer casually in case he isn't interested though.
