The first annual East Coast VALIANT Comics' Fans' Convention will take place over three days at the Big Apple Con in New York City from Friday, March 31st to Sunday, April 2nd. The convention will feature panels and signings from over 40 VALIANT comic creators, including Rags Morales, Sean Chen, Jim Calafiore, and Walt Simonson. New Jersey-based Comicology will be filming the VALIANT portions of the convention to be aired on cable access channel.

ValiantFans.com will premier a new fan project at the show, an X-O Manowar lithograph illustrated by legendary artist and co-creator of X-O Manowar, Bob Layton. "It took me a grand total of 46 hours to complete. That's the longest it's ever taken me to complete a single page of art," said Bob Layton, who has over 30 years of experience as a comic book artist. The lithograph will be limited to 100 copies and will only be available at the show.

The VALIANT Comics' Fans' Convention on the East Coast and West Coast are unofficial celebrations of the comics and characters of the VALIANT universe. The West Coast convention is held at the San Diego Comic Con. For more information and a full list of VALIANT creators attending the East Coast convention visit www.bigapplecon.com

Valiant had fans?
Hey, if I lived that way, I would be there. :D I loved most of their books, more so than Marvel or DC back then.

MoTA just had a heart attack.
Well, then, at least one good thing will come out of this.

Fun fact, when I was last in Israel, the back issue bins were still filled to overflowing with old Valiants. Ultraverse too, but mostly Valiants.

Not that I'm mocking Valiant fans.

I'm sure they're a lovely bunch of guys.

Plus, it must be nice to be able to have a con and not worry about maximum occupancy.
