Sales figures for comics in the 1990's

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone out here could help me with something.

I'm currently doing my master's thesis on The Sandman, and while I remember reading old "Previews" and "Up 'N Coming" magazines that had the featured sales positions when I was a kid, I'm not sure how I can access any of the sales figures for those books specifically.

Was wondering if anyone could help point me in the direction of any website or publication that could give me some information regarding what sales spots Sandman was in and how many copies the title regularly sold.

http://www.bookrags.com/history/popculture/sandman-sjpc-04/ has some information though I don't know it's source(s).

You could always try the archives at the Comics Journal or Comics Buyer's Guide websites.
