They're pictured side-by-side in every cameo, whether it's in NXM or Astonishing. I hope it's what we all think it is.

Well, Anole is pretty out of the closet at this point. I don't know if N+C said they had any plans for the two of them (I think they wanted Victor to commit suicide :evilangry ) but they are clearly being depicted as a "pair."

And they are seriously cute.

Yeah, Anole has been out for a long time now. But I never knew about Indra.

agreed, medina's stuff is looking better and better, i never had a big problem with it, just his noses, which he's seem to have fixed.....
it's also good to see that the other kids are still training, although whedon has to give hisako a uniform, i am tired of seeing her run around in clothes, while everyone else looks like a power ranger.

About Indra, Nunzio (IIRC) said he considered making Indra a love interest and teased that there may be more gay members in Alpha Squadron other than Victor (the latter was on Wikipedia, so its not a 100% correct-o-mundo info).

Since then, many fans have latched onto the idea of a Indra/Victor romance.

About Indra, Nunzio (IIRC) said he considered making Indra a love interest and teased that there may be more gay members in Alpha Squadron other than Victor (the latter was on Wikipedia, so its not a 100% correct-o-mundo info).

Also, Professor X brought Northstar to the school because of the fact that some of the students were gay. If Northstar were there to help the gay students out, it would make sense to put them on his squadron (which would later be taken over by Karma, another gay person).

And is it just me, or did Anole's costume get a change?

Yes they did, but marvel stopped the idea. which was a good decision.

But yes, Anole was supposed to commit suicide. As much as I'm glad he didn't die, it seemed like one of the more interesting deaths.

This is not too bad a book but it's draging its feet. This is one of those books that is better as a TPB. I like Dust, she's my favorite only because it shows how a muslim girl can be. I hope Marvel doesn't get bombed for the way Dust was kneeling on the bed with her knees spreed out like she's riding something. Hmmmm..... :D

I'm all for the green/purple mix. Theyr'e like the new Arte and Leech!

And I'm really gratefull the editors stopped the attempted suicide plot. The last thing we need is another tragic gay character.

I like it much better now, especially with Medina who draws him cute-ly. The only color combo that still bothers me is Mercury's blue/yellow. I don't like how it constrasts with her already standout visuals.

the costume changes will have to grow on me or change, but elixir's, as mentioned, is pretty cool. mercury's old costume worked for her, this one...not so much.

I think Mercury's Hellions costume really worked for, I agree. I wonder if the planned costumes will change with Medina taking over.

"I was going to drop this title for awhile but its really turning out better. This anole having a romance interest really has goten me interested in the book again.

I have decided to keep it around. I meen it was for awhile turning into a ((SAVED BY THE BELL WITH MUTANT POWERS)) type of deal but the last few issues after M-DAY have really goten me on board.I also read everything ELSE with an (X) in its title, i really shouldn't drop it.The art work has always been fantastic.I am not against any romance as long as that whole couples romance doesn't over ride every issue.

the preview wrote mark brooks yes, but the art is done by medina, a mistake marvel itself did in its marvel previews book apparently.
Brooks is till on the book, medina makes some fill-in. I think it's a good idea, these two artists are good and their styles aren't so different, it helps feeling good on reading it.

I just saw a close up of the AoA OHOTMU cover done by Brooks. I really like his style there much more than what we've seen in NXM (my avatar is from that cover).
