So I'm going to the comic shop during lunch tommorow and beside picking up some other comics this week I was thinking about picking up Hulk #92, which is Planet Hulk part 1. So is it any good? Worth buying? Should I pass on it?

Hulk + Gladiatorial Combat + Aliens + Smashing = Coolness.

I really liked the first issue.

I generally don't like hulk comics so it took me by surprise how good this was.

I bought both issues today and I loved the story and concept but I thought the art and the character designs were awful. However I’m going to stick around because the concept is a cool one and there are still twelve issues to go so I’m sure that there is bound to be a change in artistic teams.

While I agree Pagulayan isnt great I thought his art was decent enough. He isnt like Humberto Ramos or Chris Bachalo that stop me from buying a book.

I'm just not a fan of that particular art style. Both Ramos and Bachalo have legions of fans around the world, which is good for their career and families, but I don't like it. Still I'm glad it worked for you and you got your money worth.

Oh, I havent bought it yet, just looking at the Preview pages online his work doesnt seem that bad. I'm with you on Ramos and Bachalo, but that's in part because I prefer a more detailed, realistic style.

Actually, I think so far Carlos Pagulayan is supposed to be the artist for the entire storyline.

I think his Hulk is pretty good, i'm not to crazy about the rest. And the coloring on that world seems off, like they are trying a little too hard to make it "alien".

The first issue was great though. Lots of Hulk smashing goodness. I loved the line where the woman warrior told Hulk he can't win because this "isn't your planet" and his response is simply "Not yet." Can't wait to see how it plays out.
