Graphic novel and comic book writers group seeks SERIOUS, RELIABLE, and DISCIPLINED writers to join a PROFESSIONAL Manhattan-based writers' group that meets biweekly in midtown public atriums.

We would like to have FIVE WRITERS in the next two or three weeks. Join us!

Looking for writers who have a FIRM foundation of the elements of graphic novel and comic book writing. We are looking for writers who are experienced in giving DETAILED CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM.

The main purpose of the group is to provide necessary feedback to other writers prior to submitting to artist, agents or publishers.

We utilize a 'glass booth' wherein the featured writer is not allowed to respond during their feedback. We utilize a Non-Disclosure Agreement, and have membership requirements that MUST be met.

If you are interested, please respond to the following questions and ATTACH SEVEN TO TEN PAGE properly formatted WRITING SAMPLE which best exemplifies your work. Send it to graphicnovel@morningsidewriters.com.

This group will be concentrating mostly on the writing aspect of graphic novels and comic books: plot, pacing, story-line, characters, etc. While we do plan on incorporating tutorials and discussions on getting our work drawn, actually securing an artist will be the sole responsibility of the writer. We want to devote this group towards getting the story perfect before it's committed to art.

E-mails WITHOUT a writing sample will be automatically deleted.

There's a yearly non-refundable membership/operational fee. The one hundred dollar ($100.00) yearly renewable fee works out to eight dollars and thirty-three cents ($8.33) a month for twelve months.
