Why is that whenever I see transformers fight lately, they're usually holding eachother's hands and grunting loudly. What the hell is up with that? They have guns. Are they really not allowed to use them? They're freaking robots, for crying out loud. Are they worried parents are going to complain about robot blood? Why am I seeing two gigantic robots covered in missle-launchers solving their differences by a combination of hugging and arm wrestling?

Well, it all started when Unicron ate the cloud world, home to the Care Bears.....

I believe its been said that since many of the Generation 1 toys were originally Japanese plus the fact that the Japanese have continued the Transformers saga long before we made Optimus into a monkey Many fans consider Transformers anime.

I'd go with the fact that the current series are aired in Japan first then brought over to the US. I was pretty sure the original series was just considered a cartoon though. Definitly not anime.

I'd say it started with Armada. I saw the first episode and Prime and Megatron get into arm wrestling.

Though I swear it looked like it ended with Megatron kneeing Prime in the jimmies.

It was constantly used in Armada, but thankfully that trend was severely curtailed in Energon and Cybertron. The occasional sword fight is still pretty common though. I have no problem with that.

RID, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron are Japanese series that have been brought and translated to the US. They are definately anime, just not that good of anime, though Energon and Cybertron are definate improvements over Armada.

Their not anime. Since the show was American made it is therefore not considered Anime. While transformers were created out of older Japanese lines they were not transformers until Hasbro brought them together and named them.(sarcasm) I can't beleive your even thinking about it in that way. You polluting the thread! (sarcasm)
