52 - covering more than the main 6?

I keep seeing where 52 is going to spotlight Booster Gold, Steel, Question, and some others. But then I also hear it's going to cover some of what got us from the last pre-OYL stories to the first OYL stories in the regular books. How is a book featuring Steel and Booster Gold going to tell me how Robin switched costumes?

Is it possible that 52 isn't going to address those issues, and instead just gives us an overview of the DCU and super-hero community, leaving things like "how did Green Arrow survive being stabbed" to the individual series to eventually reveal?

batman annual 25 explained all of the questions we have about that kind of stuff. that and ollie just doesn't know how to stay dead. honestly i"m not sure what's going to happen with 52. no one really knows what all it's going to cover. apparently we'll learn about batwoman, and spectre, and god knows who else in between.

They've said that many other characters will be appearing, just not the big three. Green Lantern and Arrow are both slated for appearances. Apparently Adam Strange and Animal Man both have imortant roles in the series too.
